Minato did not recognize Naruto in the Naruto Movie. In the Naruto anime movie version, the fourth Hokage Namikaze Minato did not recognize that Uzumaki Naruto was not from this world. In the Naruto anime, Uzumaki Naruto was led into a parallel space by the masked man, a member of the Akatsuki organization, using space ninjutsu and lost himself. Later, he was awakened by Sakura who arrived, and worked with Sakura to defeat the masked man who turned into a terrorist.
