There are pots of lush chlorophytum on my balcony, which are fresh and elegant and pleasing to the eye.
The leaves of chlorophytum are long, narrow and soft, layered, extending around and slightly drooping. The breeze blows, like fireworks in full bloom, and like dancing elves. Its leaves have many colors, including silver-edged chlorophytum, Phnom Penh chlorophytum, pure green chlorophytum and many other varieties. My family has two kinds of chlorophytum in Phnom Penh and pure green leaf chlorophytum. The edge of the green leaves of Chlorophytum in Phnom Penh is inlaid with yellow and white stripes, while the leaves of Chlorophytum with pure green leaves are all green as the name suggests. Under my careful care, their leaves are bright green, revealing a vibrant and prosperous scene.
In summer, chlorophytum grows more luxuriantly. I don't know when, I was surprised to find that the soft branches were pulled out from the leaves, and small white flowers were blooming on the branches, which were small and exquisite and smelled faint. Xiaobaihua is hiding in the dense leaves like a shy little girl, playing hide-and-seek with me. The branches are getting longer and longer, hanging obliquely outward along the edge of the basin. At each end of the branch, new plants of all sizes are growing. From a distance, the hanging clusters of new plants are like swaying "small swings" or green "small flower baskets". More importantly, they look like cranes with open wings, which may be why they are called "broken crane orchids".
Chlorophytum is not only elegant and chic, but also tenacious. Once, I cut off a branch and stuck it in the soil at will. Not long after, another new life was born, and it is still growing happily.
The beauty of chlorophytum is unique. Its tenacious vitality and optimistic attitude towards life are particularly admirable.
I praise you, chlorophytum! green plant
Among all things, I have seen many flowers: there are elegant peonies and noble and elegant chrysanthemums; There are graceful daffodils and dazzling sunflowers. However, in my mind, only the chlorophytum, which is "out of the mud but not stained", occupies the most important position.
The "leaves" of chlorophytum.
The appearance of chlorophytum is beautiful, like a slim girl, with long dark green leaves drooping listlessly, like a group of children who have done something wrong standing in front of the teacher with their heads down. A breeze blew, and all the drooping leaves swayed with the wind.
The "stem" of chlorophytum.
The stem of chlorophytum is very slender, about 50-60 cm long, protruding from the leaves. At the bottom of a small cluster of leaves on the stem, there is a thick and short thing, that is, the root of chlorophytum. Once this root is rooted in the soil, it will grow rapidly and grow a brand-new pot of chlorophytum.
The "flower" of chlorophytum.
The petals of chlorophytum are white, and each petal is like an oval papaya with yellow buds inside. Looking down, the faint fragrance makes people feel refreshed. Green leaves set off white petals, which are beautiful and elegant. Wow, it's really like a "flower fairy" coming down to earth!
Chlorophytum can also absorb carbon dioxide in the air and release oxygen, thus purifying the air.
Ah! Chlorophytum, I admire your simple character! I love your fragrance and elegance, and I love your high wind festival of "getting out of the mud and not getting stained".
