Why does feng shui say that purple gas comes from the east?

China is located in the northern hemisphere, in the east of Eurasia. Most of the land is located in the north of the Tropic of Cancer (23 degrees 26 north latitude), and the perennial sunshine comes from the south. A house facing south is easy to get light. Sunlight has many benefits for people: first, it can keep warm, and the temperature in the south house is higher than that in the north house in winter 1-2 degrees; The second is to participate in the synthesis of vitamin D in human body, and children often bask in the sun to prevent rickets; Third, ultraviolet rays in the sun have bactericidal effect; Fourth, it can enhance human immune function. South Suzaku, North Xuanwu, East Qinglong, West White Tiger. In feng shui, the dragon is strong and the tiger is weak. Qi is the source of all things, Tai Chi is qi, two instruments are produced by one product, three are born and five elements are used. Soil comes from gas, water comes from gas, people come from gas, and gas feels it. Everything has nothing to do with qi. Besides, in ancient times, purple gas generally represented dragon gas, and dragons came from the East, so purple gas came from the East! In contrast, the tiger is blessed!

This is the Spring Festival, the most important festival for China people. Every year, people always want to "exchange new peaches for old ones" in the underground, that is, to post Spring Festival couplets, which often write auspicious words, such as blessing, happiness and population safety. In couplets, there is often a phrase "purple gas comes from the east", such as:

Purple in the east, auspicious in the west, auspicious in the south and rich in the north.

Purple gas comes from the east, good luck comes from the east, and the road to success is smooth.

Purple gas comes from the east, and the bluebird falls in front of the court.

Yaochi looks west, and clouds are born in the air.

Including many couplets, all use these words, so what is the origin of these four words? Let's have a brief look.

Mr. Lu Xun, a famous writer in the Republic of China, once said that the source of China culture is Taoism. Then the origin of these four words is related to Laozi, the founder of Taoist culture. Laozi was born in Chen County in the Spring and Autumn Period. Laozi was the director of the National Library in Luoyi, Eastern Zhou Dynasty. He made full use of favorable conditions to collect books, and gradually formed a single opinion by observing and thinking about various phenomena in the troubled times in the Spring and Autumn Period.

In his later years, when Zhou Shi declined, Lao Tzu thought that the world was hopeless and decided to resign and retire. According to legend, Lao Tzu rode a green cow and went out to Hangu Pass in the west. Yin, the gatekeeper of Hanguguan, stared at the starry sky above the independent building, and suddenly saw the oriental Ziyun gathering like a dragon, rolling in from east to west. He said to himself, "Purple gas will come from the east, three from Wan Li, and saints will pass through here when they go west. Qingniu slowly carries the old man and hides. " So he sent someone to clean the road for forty miles and burn incense to welcome Lao Tzu. When Laozi arrived, he talked with Yin. At this time, Yin asked Lao Zi to pay for his last words. I couldn't help but write down two 5,000 words in the famous Tao Te Ching. This story is also the origin of "purple gas coming from the East".
