Lantern has a history of more than 4 years in our city. It was originally a folk dance popular in Shakou Town, Yingde County, Qingyuan City. Lantern was introduced from the Central Plains, and this custom was observed in Qingxi, Feng Hong and other villages in Shakou Town. Among them, Qingxi Village is dominant. The Hakka dialect "Deng" is homophonic with "Ding". On the Lantern Festival, the lantern procession of lanterns (organized by each village) starts from dusk. Every time I go to a house, I will shout loudly, "Here comes the light, here comes the light, here comes the light, here comes the light …", which means that there will be more people this year, so it is very popular among the villagers. The host family will burn firecrackers to welcome the lantern team.
phoenix dance
phoenix dance, also known as double phoenix dance, is popular in all towns and villages in Qingyuan city. Every Spring Festival, Lantern Festival, Mid-Autumn Festival and other folk festivals, people moving to new homes, weddings and other occasions, there are phoenix dances. The performance of the phoenix dance is dominated by props, accompanied by percussion, accompanied by suona (instead of the shepherd boy's flute) to play the introduction and pass the door. Percussion plays a role in contrast and rendering, making the whole atmosphere quite lyrical, cheerful and warm.
Spring Cattle Dance
Spring Cattle Dance was introduced to Guangdong with the southward movement of Central Plains culture, and it was widely spread in Qingyuan, Xinyi and other places. Dancing "Spring Cattle" is usually performed from beginning of spring to Yuanxiao every year, which expresses people's expectations and wishes for "Spring". Spring cattle dance is characterized by strong life breath, simple movements, and vivid and free simulation of life movements and cattle habits. The scene activities that show agricultural activities are vivid, and basically realize the reproduction of life. Actors follow the rhythm of gongs and drums and music with "round steps", "small broken steps" and "cross steps", which is easy to master and use. During the Spring Festival to Lantern Festival, the cattle-dancing team beats gongs and drums more than during the day, and dances spring cattle to pay New Year greetings to villages and towns. First, they perform on the big terrace in the village, and then they pay New Year greetings to every household. Generally speaking, Hakka people are enthusiastic and pay attention to reciprocity, so all villages have cattle dance teams to exchange New Year greetings with each other. Therefore, during this time, all villages and towns are very lively.
Dance quilt lion
Dance quilt lion was first popular in the Liu family in Weizhen Village, Tangtang Town, Fogang County, our city, and it was formed in the long-term farming custom. Traditional folk cultural activities, which focus on entertaining gods and people, have a history of more than 2 years. Dancing by lions starts from the sixth day of the first month of each year (Hakka custom, families with newly added males should put a lantern in the ancestral hall). On the fifteenth and sixteenth day of the first month, the lion dances entered the village, and all the families with newly added males and newly married wives were added in the previous year. After 2: 3pm on the 16th day of the first month, Tianding households and newly-married families in the village will bring firewood, arrange it in a dragon shape at the entrance of the ancestral hall, light a fire dance and get into the carnival.
"Welcome to the ancient times" is also an important project. The "ancient story" is a parade in which children dress up as various ancient figures and are fixed on the iron frame. The most famous is Liancheng Luofang's "going through the past". It is characterized by large scale and strong competitiveness. A shed needs more than 8 mature men, and 18 people take turns to carry and run at a time. On the morning of the 15th day of the first month of the first month, I carried it on the land, and then I ran against the current in the river in the afternoon. There were a sea of people on both sides of the strait, chasing after each other in the sound of gongs, drums, firecrackers, ringing cymbals and shouts, which was intense, warm and exciting, and was hailed as "Hakka Village Carnival" by the media. Some towns and villages in Changting and Yongding counties also have this kind of "welcoming the past" activities, but they only carry parades instead of running races.
