The hairstyles worn by women in the Qing Dynasty include: braided bun, two-bundle bun, big pull-wing (flag head), high bun, tin-zi bun, etc.
1. Braided hair in a bun
The traditional hairstyle of Manchu women is braided hair in a bun. This bun is divided into single and double buns. Double buns are usually used by unmarried women. This kind of braid is grown on the left and right ends of the head, and then twisted into a bun. A single bun is mostly used by married women. That is, gather the hair on the top of the head, braid it into a long braid, and twist it into a bun. The braided hair is simple and neat. It is suitable for long distance riding and shooting before entering the customs. You can also sleep directly on your braided pillow when camping outside. Naturally, the hairstyle at that time was of practical value, and there was no distinction between high and low status, rich and poor, high and low.
2. Two hairpins
For two hairpins, first tie all the hair on the top of the head, with a long flat hairpin as the base. Divide the hair into two strands and comb them to the left and right. After the two strands of hair are combed into a horizontal bun on the top of the head, insert another hairpin to fix it. It is worth noting that the ornaments used in the second head are relatively small, and they do not need to be filled with ornaments all the time, and there are no tassels (tassels). There is no big flower in the middle. This is a product of the late Qing Dynasty and the early Republic of China, and most of them will not be used in real life.
3. Big pull wings (flag head)
In the early days, Erbantou was mostly women's own real hair, and the overall shape appeared smaller and flat, as time went by. The position of the coiled comb is developing towards the top of the head, and there is a tendency to coil the two heads higher and larger. In the process of wrapping and combing, wigs begin to be added. In the late Qing Dynasty, a type of crown ornament called Dala Wing was developed, which gradually replaced the Erbangtou. I only used slightly larger accessories in Da La Wing, but they are still very delicate and not as exaggerated as in the TV series.
4. High bun
The emergence of high bun is also related to the invention of the hair stand. The hair stand is a special hair combing tool that looks similar to a glasses frame. Use it When combing your hair, you can create a variety of different styles. It can fix your hair. Many hairstyles for high buns are combed on the basis of a hair frame.
5. Tin-zi head
Hairstyles are becoming more and more complicated, and there are gradually more hair styles, such as Yizitou, Ruyi head, and Tianzi-tou. This kind of head is developed from two heads. Because there is a shelf lined in the bun to resemble its shape, it is called a hairpin. A hairpin is not something that ordinary people can comb. It is also the dress worn by Manchu women when attending grand occasions. If they take off their hairpins, they can wear it normally. It can be seen from the changes in hairstyles that with the stability of the Qing Dynasty's rule and the prosperity of the economy, Manchu women's hairstyles began to develop from small to large, from practical to aesthetic.
