I believe many people in China have a concept of Wula Street: rime. Indeed, rime is a proud business card of Wula Street. But, you know what? The best place in Wula Street is far more than rime. It is the birthplace of the Manchu Dynasty and is very important in the history of China.
Geographically, Wulajie Manchu Town (hereinafter referred to as Wulajie) is located about 30 kilometers north of Jilin City, Jilin Province, surrounded by mountains on three sides and surrounded by water on one wall. From the perspective of feng shui, it is a blessed land that breeds auspicious feelings. "Wula" is Manchu, which means "along the river". As the name implies, this is a small town by the river.
Historically, after the establishment of the Ming Dynasty, the policy of "controlling foreigners by barbarians and ruling by dividing" was implemented in border minority areas. Accordingly, Wula Street established Wula Wei. By the middle of the Ming Dynasty, the Jurchen forces in Haixi gradually rose, and the Wula Department successively annexed the nearby Jurchen Department, established the Wula Kingdom, and took Wula Street as its capital. Later, the state of Wula went to war with Nurhachi, the leader of the Jurchen State of Jianzhou, and was finally destroyed by Nurhachi in 16 13. Nurhachi preserved his strength here, and then went to the Central Plains, where he won the world and established the Manchu Dynasty.
It can be seen that Wula Street is a veritable birthplace of Manchu. Because of this, the emperor shunzhi of the Qing Dynasty immediately banned Fiona Fang Wula Street from Fiona Fang for 500 miles after making its capital in Beijing, and called it "the Holy Land of the Dynasty". In the 14th year of Shunzhi in Qing Dynasty, the ancient city of Wula set up Yamen (a special economic zone responsible for paying tribute to local products) to offer northeast local products to the royal family. From then on, Wula Street, together with Suzhou, Nanjing and Hangzhou in the south of the Yangtze River, became the tribute base of the Qing Dynasty. Therefore, the people have the reputation of "Wula City is far away from Changbai and near Songjiang, which is the thoroughfare of the three provinces".
In a word, this little-known town in China, even rarely set foot in the northeastern town of Jilin, is one of the main birthplaces of Manchu. There is even a saying among the people that "there is Wula first, then Jilin".
Since it is the birthplace of a dynasty, the history of Wulajie Town naturally deserves a strong color, and its historic sites can naturally occupy a place in the history of China. At least, five of the twelve emperors of the Qing Dynasty left traces of war, footprints or ink here.
We took a bus from downtown Jilin to Wula Street. Before arriving at the station, the conductor's elder sister strongly recommended that there is a monument in front of the station 100 meters. Only after I passed by did I know that among the many historical sites in Wula Street, the famous ones are the ruins of Wula Ancient City, Baihua Dianjiangtai, Tongyuan Building, Houfu, Baoning 'an, Kuifu and Shaba (the above picture shows Kuifu).
The conductor's eldest sister said Kuifu. Kuifu was given by the emperor of the Qing Dynasty and was the retirement place of a prince in the Qing Dynasty.
The courtyard door of Kuifu is closed, and weeds are overgrown in front of the top door. Looking through the crack of the door, I saw weeds growing wildly in the courtyard and the old house was in disrepair. There is a small shop next to it that sells some genuine and fake antiques. Inside, two men sat with bare arms and chatted happily.
The village woman came forward to ask about Kuifu's recent situation. The man said, there is no money to repair it. Why don't you invest?
The back door of the antique shop leads to the mansion, but if you want to get in, you have to pay a little "admission fee" From this door, you can see everything at a glance, and the word "demolition" on the wall is particularly eye-catching. Sweep a few, turn around and leave calmly. What should be left is always left, and it cannot be forced. Respect historical life if you have no money to repair it. If you have money to rebuild, you will show off in an ostentatious manner, no matter what.
After that, we took a taxi to Hantun Village. Hantun Village is a famous tourist attraction in Wula Street, Jilin City. This is a village with Manchu characteristics. 85% of the villagers in the village are Manchu, which has a strong Manchu cultural heritage, including shaman priests, eagle hunting, Manchu catering, Manchu sports and entertainment, etc. (The picture above shows the Manchu banquet).
Although Hantun Village is small, it is well known. It is said that after Dingding in the Central Plains in the Qing Dynasty, in order to ensure the supply of materials in the northeast, Wula Street in Manchu Town set up a yamen for killing livestock and managing Wula. In the drama of the Qing Palace, the emperor issued a decree: "Send Wula for sacrifice", which means to send it here. Dai Sheng Wula yamen is responsible for collecting rare materials such as winter bamboo, ginseng and sturgeon as tribute. The butchers of Wula Yamen lived here according to the types of fishing, hunting and falcons, and formed villages around Manchu Town in Wula Street. Hantun Village is one of them.
To tell the truth, I don't play Manchu, but I come to Hantun in summer and see exactly the same as any village in Northeast China. You really don't see any features.
The real highlight of Hantun Village is in winter, which is recognized as a good place to watch and shoot rime. So we decided to shoot rime here in winter.
Since I came to Hantun Village in an untimely season, I should at least see more and get to know more. Sure enough, I met this thing. Do you know what this is for?
Dried corn cob!
The emperor told the village women that the cantaloupe in Wula Street is very famous, and this season is just the best time to eat melons. Sure enough, in Hantun village, several locals asked us: Are you here to buy melons?
So, we were immediately inspired and ran to a Gua Tian outside the village. The village woman thought: How can you cross Gua Tian without going in? So, I went in and held out my hand!
After greeting the villagers at Hotan, the village woman immediately picked two melons and felt very happy.
This little brother is the master of Gua Tian, and he is doing the same business with the village women, and he comes home with a full load. It must be admitted that the cantaloupe in Wula Street is definitely not blowing: it is so sweet and fragrant.
I went back to Jilin City that night and saw this signboard. Do you know what "hit" means? (20 1 1-8-3, Wulajie Town, Jilin City)
