Daiding Mountain Scenic Area has beautiful natural scenery and rich culture.
Daiding Mountain, also known as Dasheng Mountain, is located on the top of the mountain north of Sanyang Village, Hejian Town, Linzhou City. It is a group of ancient buildings. Speaking of the origin of Sanyang Village, it is closely related to the Great Holy Mountain. The main hall on the top of the mountain is the Jade Emperor Hall, and the Yaowang Temple on the mountainside. There are statues of seven famous doctors such as Zhang Zhongjing, Hua Tuo and Sun Simiao enshrined inside. Xiaosi Temple at the foot of the mountain was the incense courtyard of Kangtang, a Jin Dynasty scholar in Linzhou. It was rebuilt in the second year of Yuan Zhizhi (1322), and it has been more than 680 years since it was rebuilt. Because Sanyang Village is located in the south (yang side) of the three ancient temples, it is named Sanyang Village.
There is a temple fair every year on June 15th of the lunar calendar. At that time, faithful men and women from dozens to hundreds of miles away come to the temple to burn incense and worship Buddha, do good deeds and accumulate virtue, and there are also big plays to entertain.
Speaking of the origin of Daiding Mountain, it can be seen from the couplet on the gate entering the scenic spot: Muling Mountain has long hidden truth, and Yangdaiding has its origin in Taiyue. According to legend, a Taoist priest from Daiding Mountain in Taishan, Yueyang, founded Zangzhen Temple, so it is often called Daiding Mountain among the people. There are many inscriptions from the Ming and Qing Dynasties. The time of its construction cannot be determined with certainty. According to the records on the rebuilt stone tablet, some say it was during the Han Dynasty, and some said it was during the Sui and Tang Dynasties. There are different opinions, but none of them can be verified. However, from the several remaining stone steles reconstructed in the Yuan and Ming dynasties, there is no doubt that its construction should have been before the Northern Song Dynasty or the Song Dynasty.
The cultural atmosphere in Daiding Mountain is very strong. In addition to teaching people to do good deeds and accumulate virtue, there are also many literati with lofty ideals who have left behind their calligraphy works. The most famous one is Ma Qing (also known as Jingchen and Liuquan). Two miles north of Heshun Ji there is Ma Gongying, who was buried here. Ma Qing was an intelligent young man with excellent literary skills. He took the provincial examination at the age of 17 in the eighth year of Hongzhi in the Ming Dynasty (1495), and graduated from Taixue in the 18th year of Hongzhi in the Ming Dynasty. Jinshi, changed to Hanlin Academy, connoisseur, awarded Shizhong, moved to Zhejiang, deputy historian, later transferred to Shanxi to study, moved to the right to participate in politics, Zhejiang Youbuzhengshi, then moved to Yunnan to participate in politics, and then moved to the censorship, Fujian Chief Secretary, The Minister of Guanglu Temple and the Minister of Dapu Temple in Nanjing. He was the right deputy imperial envoy of the Duchayuan. He finally passed away on February 29, the 15th year of Jiajing's reign. He was buried at his place of origin in December. On the 12th of December, Emperor Jiajing issued a special edict. ), he wrote a poem when he visited the Great Holy Mountain in the mid-autumn period of the 11th year of Jiajing's reign, which has been passed down to this day:
Going up to the dangerous peak and looking at the four wilderness, the blue sky is like a wash of wild geese flying south.
The river is dimly lit, and the mountains are green with thousands of gates.
Climb high with wine for nine days, and then return home to Sanyang.
When I was drunk, I was still writing poems, and the mountain birds left people with the fragrance of wild chrysanthemums.
There is also a large sacred mountain bell house built on the top of the mountain. There is a large bronze bell newly erected in 2005, with a small bell on each side. When it hits, the sound spreads in all directions, and the sweet sound floats, giving people You bring good luck again and again. In particular, the large characters embossed on the body of the bell educate people on how to spend their lives and how to behave. Reading this book will make you feel calm and help you wash away your worries and focus on doing good. The poem says:
There are many ignorant people in the world who refuse to form good relationships throughout their lives.
Spend your time peacefully throughout your life, and extend your life wherever you go.
Patience and gentleness are the secrets. The world of mortals is full of waves.
Don't let your own inner feelings be unclear, and don't make others' mistakes known to you.
