Wuxi Lingshan Buddha guide essay 1 Dear travelers and friends,
Hello everyone!
I think the place of Lingshan Giant Buddha has made Mashan and Wuxi. There are so many friends around me that they will go on the fifteenth day of the first month.
I am a man with few tendons. I can't tell you how smart this place is, but I really like it.
The location of Lingshan Buddha is said to be named by Master Xuanzang. According to legend, the mage came back from the Western Heaven. After giving a lecture here, he found that this place is very similar to jiusan, the Buddha's spirit of Sakyamuni, so he named it Xiaoling Mountain, and charged his great disciple Kui Ji to preside over Buddhism here-yes, you are not mistaken, but it is really not the Monkey King, which is a legend ... So he built a temple there, called Xiangfu Temple, which has been 65,438 years since. It seems that all temples have to go through the baptism of war and fire, and Xiangfu Temple is no exception. When the temple was restored, there was only one well left in the whole temple. ...
I remember when we were doing tour guide training, the teacher said that the location of this giant Buddha was quite good, which was very close to China's geomantic theory. Lingshan Buddha has a front view (Taihu Lake), a back view (Lingshan Mountain) and two views (White Tiger Mountain on the left and Qinglong Mountain on the right). It is an excellent place for feng shui.
Lingshan at the moment is different from the tour guide words we recited in those years. When we first went to Lingshan, there were only the Giant Buddha, then the Kowloon Bath and then the Vatican Palace. At this time, there are five more printed mandalas. I believe there will be other scenic spots in the near future. Of course, so is the fare. ...
Ok, take your time, but because I didn't take photos when I wrote this series in Wuxi, I can look for it online or take it to the scenic spots.
Lingshan Giant Buddha Scenic Area is located in Mashan Town, Wuxi, and it usually takes about 40 minutes to drive from the urban area. If you take a bus, it usually takes about 1.5 hours. Don't be bored. The only way to Mashan is the Eighteen Bends Scenic Area. When we get there, we can already see Taihu Lake. When the weather is clear, it is sparkling and beautiful. Generally, you can take the ten-mile Pearl Dike by car and have a panoramic view of Taihu Lake-digressing back to Lingshan.
At present, we seldom walk around Lingshan, and it is basically scenic traffic, because lingshan scenic spot is too big at present, and it is very tiring to walk around.
As soon as you enter the ticket gate of the scenic spot, you can see the ticket booth of the scenic spot traffic car, which seems to be 25 people. Just sit anywhere. As long as you are in the scenic spot and look at the direction of the car, you don't have to think about going from one scenic spot to another. This is a lazy game, but you try to save time and energy.
First stop, bergamot square.
The bergamot workshop is "the best palm in the world", and many guests will line up to touch their palms, which means celebrating longevity. Bergamot bergamot stands for longevity. The first palm in the world is a replica of the right palm of Lingshan Buddha, 1: 1, reaching 1 1. 7 meters, 5 meters wide. 5 meters, single finger diameter 1 meter, from which you can get a glimpse of the giant Buddha. The posture of the giant Buddha is exquisite. This right hand gives the impression of "giving a fearless seal". This gesture expresses the Buddha's merciful desire to save all beings. It is said that this time can make people feel peaceful and fearless.
Next to the bergamot, corresponding to it is the "hundred philosophers play Maitreya Buddha". I like Maitreya Buddha very much, not for anything else, but for that sentence: tolerate the unbearable things in the world and laugh at the ridiculous people in the world. The whole sculpture has 100 lifelike children, which is said to test whether Maitreya is as intolerant as the legend. In fact, it has been proved that only people with an open mind can have real happiness. Sometimes when I look at this smiling Maitreya, I feel that everything I meet is nothing, and I can pass it after all. ...
Looking up along Maitreya, you can see Xiangfu Temple. There is nothing to say about the temple. Let's move on.
Go through the temple and you will find Xingtan Square. The only tree in the center of the square is an old ginkgo tree. Yes, yes, it's old. It is said that it was planted during the Zhenguan period of the Tang Dynasty and has a history of nearly 1400 years (old demon? ), and is therefore known as the sacred tree of Xiangfu Temple every year. (So, it seems that this temple left more than one well ...)
Further on, it is the cloud road. Standing on Dengyun Road, you can photograph the typical Lingshan Buddha. But there is actually a saying that there are two places that are not suitable for taking pictures, one is the cemetery and the other is the temple ... Buddha is not easy to take pictures, which I quite believe.
Dengyun Road, a ***2 16 step, is divided into seven platforms. From the bottom up, you can't see the platform. Looking from top to bottom, the platform is missing, which means "saving a life is better than building a seven-level pagoda". As for why it is 2 16 step, it is because Buddhism believes that there are 108 kinds of troubles and 108 kinds of wishes in life. If you climb 2 16 steps, you can get rid of your troubles and get what you want. Once upon a time, a friend proposed marriage and climbed up and down behind his girlfriend's back. Be good. ...
Up, it is the core of lingshan scenic spot-Lingshan Giant Buddha. The completion of the Lingshan Giant Buddha has formed a pattern of "Five Faces and Five Buddhas" in China-Lingshan Giant Buddha in the east, Tiantan Giant Buddha in the south, Leshan Giant Buddha in the west, Yungang Giant Buddha in the north and Longmen Giant Buddha in the Central Plains.
Lingshan Giant Buddha is the largest open-air bronze statue of Sakyamuni in the world, 88 meters high and weighing more than 700 tons. The whole Buddha used a lot of high technology, and there was a lightning rod hidden in his bun-
Buddha's right hand is fearless seal. As we said before, the left hand is willing to seal, which means to satisfy your wishes and bless your peace and happiness. And, please pay attention. Have you noticed that no matter where you look at the Buddha, he always looks at you, peaceful and kind. It is really "Buddhism is boundless and ubiquitous".
The giant Buddha can go up. You can take the elevator to the Lotus Terrace, and then go to tutor Buddha's feet. In other words, I cram for the Buddha's feet before every exam. Occasionally, if I don't do this, I will lose ... hide my face and hide.
When you get off from Dengyun Road, there are a few cars in Xingtan Square, so remember to take the ticket in your hand and don't lose it.
The next stop of Xingtan Square is Kowloon Bath.
This bathing place in Kowloon should be the most shocking performance in lingshan scenic spot. In the square is a large group carving fountain, the main body is the budding lotus held up by four mighty Hercules, the bottom is a white round marble pool, surrounded by the Eight Immortals in Kowloon, and there are eight groups of phoenixes around the fountain.
This performance is taken from the Buddhist classic "Benjing", which tells that when Buddha Sakyamuni was born, fragrant flowers fluttered all over the ground, and he could walk when he was born. He took seven steps in four directions, southeast and northwest, and each step led to a lotus on the ground. This is the origin of Step by Step Lotus. Then he said finger by finger, "I'm the only one in heaven and earth." At this time, nine dragons suddenly appeared in the sky, spitting out water columns and bathing them.
This is the story. This performance is called "Bathing in Kowloon, Seeing Buddha with Flowers", because in the music of "Buddha's Birthday", the huge lotus petals will slowly open, and there is a statue of 7. The 2-meter-high gilded Buddha statue of Prince Edward rose slowly from the lotus. At this time, dozens of meters of water column were sprayed from the mouths of nine dragons to bathe the Buddha statue of Prince Edward. At this time, drums and music are ringing in the square, and fountains are in various shapes. The Buddha statue of the prince will be surrounded in a circle, symbolizing "the Buddha shines brightly". As the music fades, lotus petals will slowly close around the Prince Buddha.
After the performance, eight groups of phoenix mouths around will flow out with purified water, which is called "Ba Ding Shui" or "holy water". Everyone can have a drink. It is said that they can keep safe.
If you didn't come in by bus like us, then this place is also a meeting point. Let's introduce it backwards.
The road leading from the entrance of Jiulong Irrigation Bath is called Bodhi Avenue. According to legend, the Buddha got the Tao under the Bodhi tree, so Bodhi also symbolizes wisdom. But we are not suitable for planting bodhi here, so we use ginkgo trees instead. There are seven lotus flowers carved in the center of the avenue, which are taken from BBK Lotus. I digress from there, and I will visit places related to Buddhism in the future. If you look closely, you will find that lotus flowers can be found almost everywhere, regardless of size or shape. On the ground on both sides of the avenue, there are patterns engraved with clouds. This is a very traditional China pattern, which can be seen in many places, meaning "continuous transportation".
Walking to the gate of Bodhi Avenue, you can see a big stone building called Wuzhimen. Above the door are engraved six groups of Chinese characters of Buddhism "Six Degrees": giving, keeping precepts, enduring humiliation, diligence, meditation and prajna. Six degrees are six codes of conduct for Buddhist learners to achieve great Buddhist wisdom.
"Giving" means giving, being selfless and not asking for anything in return. Buddhism divides almsgiving into financial almsgiving, legal almsgiving and fearless almsgiving.
"Keeping precepts" means observing laws, regulations, codes of conduct and social morality. Practitioners should keep the most basic five precepts: no killing, no lying, no adultery, no stealing and no drinking.
To "swallow the humiliation" means to be patient, to bear the burden of humiliation, to be patient, not to be reckless and impetuous in order to achieve great things, and only to suffer hardships can be the master.
"Diligence" means struggle. To achieve something, you need to work harder and struggle more than ordinary people, and you must have an endless spirit of struggle.
"Meditation" is a kind of spiritual practice, which improves concentration and determination. You should persevere, concentrate on everything, and don't be easily tempted by all kinds of things.
"Prajna" means great wisdom, which means that people should pay attention to great wisdom and great methods, not be reckless, be harmonious, not be clever, and be honest.
There is a mighty stone lion on each pillar of the gate of Wu, which symbolizes the roar of the lion. In Buddhism, it is a symbol of the spread of Buddhism.
Ok, let's go further, and we will go back to the square where Kowloon bathed before. The square is surrounded by a prayer wheel corridor, prayer wheel 108. The prayer wheel is a tool for prayer in Tibetan Buddhism. One turn of the prayer wheel is equal to one side of chanting, and the merits are boundless. This is just like the colorful flags hanging outside the temples seen in the northwest. When the wind blows through the prayer flags, it is reading the scriptures.
Further on, you can see a square with many pigeons. There is a bronze relief in the square, which records the story of the Buddha being demonized. According to legend, after six years of asceticism, Sakyamuni meditated under the bodhi tree and vowed never to leave this seat unless he could understand the truth of everything in the universe. In the middle of the Buddha statue, the Buddha sits and touches the ground with one hand, which is the "magic seal". Both sides show that the devil seduced Buddha with lust, treasure and beauty, slandered Buddha and threatened Buddha with magic weapons, but Buddha was unmoved. After seven days and seven nights, he overcame obstacles such as money, power, womanhood, fear and slander, and finally realized completely.
In fact, Buddhist stories can really hear Zen, and one of the four major religions makes sense. ...
Our next stop is the Vatican Palace.
When I first entered this place, I was really scared, darling, that momentum, that burning money. ...
I can't describe Vatican Palace. This place really needs to be visited in person to realize it. ...
Wear shoes when entering the Vatican Palace. Go with the flow. The first entrance hall, the plaque above the white marble entrance hall, is painted with the words "Lingshan Fangong" in gold. There are a pair of white elephants with six teeth on both sides of the hall. It is said that Sakyamuni rode a white elephant when he was reincarnated into his mother's womb, which also symbolizes infinite magic in Buddhism. The mount of Samantabhadra Bodhisattva is a six-toothed white elephant. Its six teeth symbolize the six degrees in Buddhism, while its limbs symbolize the four wishes.
Behind the white elephant is a pair of white woodcarving vases nearly 4 meters high, which are Dongyang woodcarving. Dongyang woodcarving is a plane-based carving art, which has a history of more than 1000 years since the Tang Dynasty and is known as the "national treasure".
The main entrance of the hall is usually closed and will only be opened when the guests arrive. Generally, sightseeing is through the side doors on both sides, and the entrance is the corridor.
Come on, take a deep breath before you go in, because it's so shocking inside.
The corridor is the passage to the altar. The whole corridor is a vault structure, with a height of18m and a length of about 80m. There is a tower hall in the middle, and the whole corridor is full of golden nanmu carvings. There are 16 pillars carved with Dongyang wood carvings on both sides of the corridor hall, and between the pillars is the World Buddhist Biography with a height of 12 meters, a *** 12, which takes the time series as the main line and takes the spread, exchange and development of Buddhism as the theme, vividly showing the historical picture of Buddhist communication and the rich connotation of Buddhism.
The top of the gallery is a square nested algae well with a three-dimensional lotus pattern carved in the center. Square algae wells are arranged neatly, covering the whole vault, giving people a feeling of holding their heads high and overlooking. The seven colors of the algae well change rhythmically, reflecting four groups of flying ladies hanging in the shed. They are beautiful in appearance, plump in figure, elegant in flying sleeves, or play pipa, flute or hold fragrant flowers, which are lifelike and bring colorful clouds, making people feel like they are in a fairyland.
Go further and you will find the tower hall. The tower hall is octagonal, and the surrounding walls are decorated with wood carvings called "quietness, faithfulness, filial piety and harmony", which vividly shows the connotation of Buddhist beliefs. In the middle of the tower hall, the height of the space is as high as 60 meters. Looking from the sky, the top cover is Starlight Glimmer, and the stars are shining, ethereal and far-reaching, as if they were under a sky.
At the end of the corridor, there is a huge glass painting "The World of China and Tibet". The whole painting consists of 106 pieces of glass, with a width of 8m and a height of10m. Coloured glaze is one of the sacred objects of the seven treasures of Buddhism. Because of its technical characteristics of "from fire to water", it is considered to be the embodiment of the realm of practice for thousands of years. In addition to stained glass, the murals are also inlaid with "seven treasures" such as gold, jade, coral and agate. 12. 80,000 pieces, involving a variety of traditional handicrafts in China. In the middle of the Pelushana Giant Buddha, 500 kg of silver is used as the inner pipe and 0/5 kg of gold is used as the outer pipe. This mural is the treasure of the Vatican Palace.
There used to be an altar front hall, which consisted of six domes with a diameter of nearly 10 m. Dozens of painters representing the highest level of Dunhuang murals have spent several months there presenting mysterious Dunhuang murals.
The most important place in the Vatican Palace is the altar, which is a circular venue integrating meetings, performances and visits. It is also the main venue of the World Buddhist Forum, which can host an international conference of 2,000 people. Above the altar is a huge dome 30 meters high. Under the control of the computer, 65,438+0,500 lotus lights become various colors. The ingenious design of the builders there has achieved the effect of "seeing the light but not seeing the light", which makes people feel wonderful.
On weekdays, there will be a performance of Ode to Good Luck, in which the process of Sakyamuni becoming a wise man and an enlightened person is explained by lights, stage and sound. It is worth seeing. But performance depends on the situation. If there is a reception task at the Vatican Palace in Lingshan, the performance will be suspended.
After visiting the main body, you can slowly walk out of Lingshan along the crowd. This Vatican Palace is shocking enough that everyone who goes in can't help sighing.
Outside the Vatican Palace, standing in the square of the Vatican Palace, you can clearly see the Lingshan Buddha representing Khan Buddhism, the Vatican Palace representing Tibetan Buddhism, the Wuyin Tancheng representing Tibetan Buddhism and the Manfeilong Tower representing Southern Buddhism.
Our next stop is Wuyin Tancheng.
"Five seals" are the five handprints of the Buddha. We have mentioned three kinds before-fifteen flavor seals, Heyuan seals, demon-reducing seals, as well as saying seals and meditation seals. "Five seals" refers to five methods and postures of Buddhism. "Tancheng", called mandala in Sanskrit, has the meaning of convergence and is a place to worship bodhisattvas and practice. Wuyin Tancheng covers an area of about 5000 square meters, with 6 floors in total. It is a Tibetan Buddhist style building built by Tibetan craftsmen in strict accordance with traditional crafts.
There is a clear water around Wuyin Tancheng, which is a sea of perfume. Buddhism believes that there are eight seas in 1993, with Xumi Mountain as the center and eight mountains and eight seas around it. Except for the eighth sea, which is alkaline water, all the others are Ba Ding Shui, so it is called perfume sea. The so-called eight public morals are pure, pure, sweet, gentle, moist, peaceful, disease-free, and gain, which are also encountered when we bathe in Kowloon, and reflect the spiritual characteristics and value benefits of Buddhism.
We have little contact with Tibetan Buddhism, and there is really no way to explain why in this five-tone altar city, so we can only watch the excitement. So, it's better to go in and see for yourself when you have the chance-
Out of Wuyin Tancheng, the whole lingshan scenic spot is basically visited. Don't underestimate these scenic spots. If you watch all the performances, you will have to spend a long time. If you don't take a tour bus, you can go shopping from morning till night.
Wuxi Lingshan Buddha Tour Guide Demonstration Text 2 Dear travelers and friends:
Hello everyone!
Lingshan Giant Buddha is 88 meters high, and the height including the three-story stone pedestal is 10 1. 5 meters. It is17m higher than Leshan Giant Buddha in Sichuan, and it is the highest bronze Buddha statue in the world at present. This giant Buddha in China is located on the bank of Taihu Lake, with Qinglong (Mountain) on the left and White Tiger (Mountain) on the right. Backed by Xiaoling Mountain, standing on Qingfeng in the north and facing Taihu Lake in the south, the geographical environment is very superior.
The Buddha's body of Lingshan Buddha is assembled and welded by 1560 pieces of cast copper siding. If you add 440 lotus flowers, it's only 20xx. The largest is more than 20 square meters, and the average development area of other copper wallboard is 4-6 square meters. The development area of all copper plates can reach more than 9000 square meters, which is about the size of a football field. The total consumption of copper is 725 tons, and the total length of the weld for welding them is 35 kilometers. And it has to be polished so that everyone can't see the traces of welding. The wall thickness is 6-8mm. Let's take a look at the lotus seat of the giant Buddha. * * * consists of four layers of lotus petals, each layer has 22 petals, ***88 petals. Anyone who donates more than RMB 6,543,800+can engrave his name on a lotus petal, which will be immortal.
One thing is worth introducing: the "eyes" of the giant Buddha.
Please note that no matter how far you go, left or right, the Buddha's "eyes" always seem to follow you and pay attention to you. As you get closer and closer to the Buddha, the Buddha's "eyes" seem to open gradually ... Why? Do "eyes" really "move"? In fact, it is not surprising at all. There is absolutely no "magic" color, which is the effect of using visual differences. It depends on the artistic charm, or the artistic skill of the sculptor.
The construction of our entire giant Buddha is made of high-tech assembly and welding, and complete measures such as wind resistance, earthquake resistance, corrosion protection and lightning protection have been taken. The Lingshan Giant Buddha was cast in pieces, and then they were assembled and welded together on site to make it "seamless".
Think about it, how much technical information and workload is contained in that bread? ! Nevertheless, I don't understand how much trouble I have to save compared with the production method of ancient bronze Buddha!
There is an ancient bronze Buddha named "Nara Giant Buddha" in Nara, Japan, which has a history of 1200 years. The Japanese call it a "national treasure", but it is actually only a dozen meters (14. 8) Gao, 2.6 million people were used when casting, which was half of the population of Japan at that time. We built the Lingshan Buddha, with hundreds of people at most, and it took only three years to build it. This depends on modern scientific and technological means, even using space technology. There are many "why?" . Therefore, visiting the Lingshan Giant Buddha can not only get a visual shock, but also increase a lot of scientific knowledge. Due to time constraints, I can only say two "why?"
The first "why" is: Why did the installed giant Buddha "feet off the ground"?
This is because the overall design scheme of Lingshan Giant Buddha adopts the "integral suspension" scheme. After the copper wallboard of the Buddha body is assembled and welded into a whole, it is directly hung on the reinforced concrete main skeleton like a building through the auxiliary bracket and the main steel frame. There are four or five thousand auxiliary supports, with an average of two or three for each copper wallboard. The whole Buddha statue is equivalent to four or five thousand hands pulling from the inside. In this way, the copper wallboard can be cast as thin as possible, saving copper materials and being economical and reasonable. Therefore, it is necessary to ensure that the bottom of the copper wallboard is off the ground.
The second "why" is that there is no lightning rod on the head of the giant Buddha. Can it protect against lightning? Why?
If you put the lightning rod on the Buddha's head and hang it there like a pig's tail, it will definitely not look good! In fact, there are many lightning rods on the head of the Buddha. The difference is that the lightning rods are not "pointed" but "spherical", so there are 298 buns. Everyone knows that lightning rods must be sharp, but the lightning rods in Britain and its colonies are "blunt". The pointed lightning rod can only protect itself from lightning, but it can't protect the neighboring areas from lightning. The situation of a blunt lightning rod is completely different. Although it was struck by lightning, it was not damaged due to good grounding, but it can effectively open a conical umbrella with it as the apex to protect the objects under the umbrella from lightning. Blunt lightning rod is more conducive to the formation of lightning channel. So, the top of the spiral bun is just right!
It is precisely because of the construction of Lingshan Giant Buddha that it contains many scientific and technological materials. Therefore, we can proudly say that the completion of Lingshan Buddha is a symbol of China's national prosperity. If it is not peace and tranquility, who will concentrate on building a giant Buddha? Without advanced science and technology and strong national strength, how can we build a big bronze Buddha like Lingshan Buddha? Some people may ask, why was the Giant Buddha built there?
Before the completion of Lingshan Giant Buddha, there were four giant buddhas in China, namely Yungang Giant Buddha in Datong, Shanxi in the north, Longmen Giant Buddha in Luoyang, Central Plains, Leshan Giant Buddha in Sichuan in the west and Tiantan Giant Buddha in Hong Kong in the south, but there were no giant buddhas in the east.
1994 People from all walks of life in Wuxi City and Mashan District decided to repair Xiangfu Temple and applied to build a new 88-meter-high Lingshan Buddha on the hillside behind the temple. Zhao Puchu, former vice chairman of Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and president of the Chinese Buddhist Association, attached great importance to the newly-built Lingshan Giant Buddha, personally visited it and put forward the theory of "Five Buddhas and Five Directions". He believes that it is located in the economically developed area of East China, where the geographical conditions are superior. It faces south, facing Taihu Lake, which is inclined at 36,000 degrees. The construction of Lingshan Giant Buddha will change the history of no giant Buddha in the East and improve the pattern of "five directions and five buddhas". Before and after the opening of Lingshan Giant Buddha, Zhao Puchu visited many times. The "Five Buddhas" have far-reaching interests and important values from the perspectives of religion, culture, art, technology and tourism. From this perspective, the Lingshan Giant Buddha belongs not only to Wuxi, but to East China and all of China. 18. Buddhist Culture Museum, Suixi Hall and Wanfo Hall
The base of Lingshan Giant Buddha has three floors, which brings together all the essence of Buddhist culture. Walking into the underground Buddhist Culture Museum and climbing the stairs along the "cool world", you can see the "treasure of the town hall" of the Buddhist Museum-the 500 Luohan Hall of Wanshou Mountain in Beijing carved with golden nanmu in the Han Dynasty. In addition, there are three major Buddhist sects, three grottoes, four famous mountains and five Buddhas that display Buddhist culture and art. After that, you can take the elevator to the lotus throne and participate in the "cramming" activities, and you will be safe all your life.
After praying for Buddha's feet, you can go down the stairs to the Suixi Hall in the middle floor, where you can watch Buddhist utensils, enjoy Buddhist poems and paintings, listen to Buddhist classics, and participate in special Buddhist cultural activities such as praying for gold and shining Buddha's light. There are nearly 10,000 small Buddha statues of Lingshan Buddha in the Ten Thousand Buddha Hall above, and the ten thousand buddhas worship the Sect, which is magnificent. Lingshan scenic spot, mountain god, humanistic spirit; Lingshan Buddha, Foshan God! May Lingshan Buddha bring you aura, blessings and good luck! Welcome to Lingshan again!
Hello, everyone, there is the Lingshan Giant Buddha, which is 88 meters high. 10 1 includes a three-story stone base. 5 meters. Beavers are mountains, and mountains are buddhas. The Giant Buddha in Leshan, Sichuan is17m high, which is the highest bronze Buddha statue in the world.
One thing is worth introducing: the eyes of the giant Buddha.

Therefore, it is necessary to ensure that the bottom of the copper wallboard is off the ground.

If it weren't for the country and the people, who would concentrate on building a giant Buddha? If it is not advanced in technology and powerful in national strength, how can it be possible to create a big bronze Buddha like Lingshan Buddha?
