Zhu Xi’s formula for summarizing the symbols of the Eight Trigrams in the Book of Changes

Bagua:

A set of symbolic symbols in ancient my country. Use "one" to represent Yang, use "--" to represent Yin, and use three such symbols to form eight forms, called Bagua. Each hexagram represents a certain thing. Qian represents heaven, Kun represents earth, Kan represents water, Li represents fire, Zhen represents thunder, Gen represents mountain, Xun represents wind, and Dui represents swamp. The eight trigrams are combined with each other to obtain sixty-four hexagrams, which are used to symbolize various natural and human phenomena. It is discussed in detail in the "Book of Changes". It is said that Bagua was created by Fuxi and later used for divination.

Qian has three connections, Kun has six breaks, shakes up the bowl, Gen covers the bowl,

Li middle is empty, ridge is full, dui is missing at the top, and Xun is broken at the bottom.

Qian 1, Dui 2, Li 3, Zhen 4,

Xun 5, Kan 6, Gen 7, Kun 8.

(3) Bagua direction

Stem: northwest. Hom: North. Gen: Northeast. Shock: East.

Xun: Southeast. Li: South. Kun: Southwest. Against: West.

(4) Belonging to the Eight Diagrams

Qian, Dui (gold); Zhen, Xun (wood); Kun, Gen (earth); Li (fire); Kan (water).

(5) Bagua generates restraint

Qian and Dui (gold) generate Kan (water), Kan (water) generates shock and Xun (wood), Zhen and Xun (wood) Li (Fire) produces Li (Fire), which produces Kun and Gen (Earth), and Kun and Gen (Earth) produce Qian and Dui (Gold).

Qian, Dui (gold) overcomes Zhen, Xun (wood), Zhen, Xun (wood) overcomes Kun, Gen (earth), Kun, Gen (earth) overcomes Kan (water), Kan (water) ) overcomes Li (Fire), Li (Fire) overcomes Qian and Dui (Gold).

(6) Bagua is strong and weak

Qian and Dui are strong in autumn and weak in winter; Zhen and Xun are strong in spring and weak in summer;

Kun , Gen is strong in the four seasons, and declines in autumn; Li is strong in summer, and declines in the four seasons;

Kan is strong in winter, and declines in spring. (The four seasons refer to the last month of each season)

Gold-stem, dui-stem is heaven, and dui-stem

Wood-Zhen, Xun Zhen is thunder, Xun is wind

Tu-Kun, Gen-Kun is earth, Gen is mountain

Water-Kankan is water
