Why can’t temples be inhabited?

(1) Temples, Taoist temples, halls, including churches, are all places where humans and gods gather to communicate. In addition to humans themselves, in addition to the statues and Dharmakaya that can be seen with the naked eye, there are many Spiritual bodies exist within the same space. Among these spirits are ghosts, monsters, demons, spirits, etc., which are collectively called void spirits. Especially after 1:00 p.m. every day, that is, after 1:00 p.m., the yang energy begins to gradually weaken, and the void spirits will appear one by one. Therefore, it is not recommended that you go to the temple after 1:00 p.m. and before 5:00 a.m. People who worship here, let alone live in temples. Unless there are special circumstances, it is best to stay away from the temple during this period. Especially the Zi hour and Chou hour every day, these two hours, four hours, are times when non-human activities are frequent, and all things, places, places, etc. related to the supernatural should be avoided.

(2) Only monks can live in the temple. The temples also house "homeless" people. Since we are lay people in this world and cannot leave home, why should we live in a temple? Living in a temple recklessly, even messing around with some furnishings and ritual objects in the temple, spitting, relieving yourself, etc. may offend the spirit body. Therefore, when worshiping in the temple, everyone must strictly abide by the temple rules. That's the rule here. Friends who are born with supernatural physiques need to be more careful when going to temples. Do not open the door to communicate with the spirit world casually. You must be cautious about things you do not understand and unknown. At the same time, people in the third family and those under 13 years old, that is, newlyweds, parents, filial sons and daughters, should pay attention when going to the temple to worship. In principle, they should not stay for a long time.

(3) The reasons mentioned in the above two points for why temples are not suitable for everyone to live in do not include participating in rituals in temples, becoming a monk for a short period of time, etc. We hope that everyone will not be confused. The third point is also that when it is time to leave the temple, you must leave and not stay for a long time. Careful friends can observe that in a regular temple, as soon as you enter the mountain gate, you will see the Hall of Heavenly Kings, which houses Maitreya Buddha and the Four Heavenly Kings, followed by the Mahavira Hall. The two halls must be on the same center line, directly behind Maitreya Buddha. , the one who makes offerings is the protector Veituo Bodhisattva, who sits at the beginning of the central line of the temple, protects the dojo and supervises some activities in the temple, especially the monks and laypeople living in the temple, are all under the supervision of the protector Veituo Bodhisattva. Therefore, don't have any evil thoughts in the temple, otherwise the "Buddha scares people" will be more terrifying than the "Ghost scares people".

(4) Popular science knowledge about Shaman Buddhism tells us: Behind Maitreya Buddha in the Hall of Heavenly Kings is Wei Tuo Bodhisattva. Wei Tuo Bodhisattva has his back to the temple door and is looking directly at the Buddha Sakyamuni Buddha in the Main Hall. Behind the Buddha, most of them are worshiped by the Nanhai Water Dropping Guanyin to save all living beings. In the kitchen of the temple hall, the Kitchen God in our temple is also worshiped, that is, the Jianzhai Bodhisattva. The kitchen and dormitories of the temple are also not allowed to be entered casually to avoid collision with monks. Monks, nuns, Taoist priests, and Taoist nuns all have special auras and meanings in the shamanic sect. Once a collision occurs, the severity is far greater than the collision of evil spirits.
