The main line of this story is "revenge", and Jingwei entrusts Lu Xiaofeng, the king of Jin Peng, to find three traitors who seek justice. "Revenge" is a common plot pattern in martial arts novels. In this mode, the "enemy" usually takes the form of "concealment" (that is, hiding identity to make room for "search") to create ups and downs of the plot.
However, Gu Long found another way here. The three traitors (Yan Tieshan, owner of Mingzhu Pavilion, Yihe Dugu, owner of Emei/Qingyilou, and Huo Xiu, the richest man in the world) had obvious goals from the beginning, and there was no need for Lu Xiaofeng to "search".
Thrifty "search" space, Gu Long turned to "conspiracy" design. The plot is a "game", and the truth of the "game" must be shattered before everything can come out. So the whole story is full of "detective reasoning", which is a typical style of Gu Long's later novels.
