Legend:
Peacock is a very noble symbol in ancient times. Oriental legend has it that peacock was born after the long bird Phoenix, and gained the spirit of copulation. It was born with Dapeng's mother, and was named King Daming and Bodhisattva by Buddha Tathagata. In western mythology, the peacock is the sacred bird of Hera and the queen of heaven. Because Hera is called Juno in Roman mythology, the peacock is also called the "bird of Juno".
