Daming Palace is the main hall, political center and national symbol of the Tang Dynasty. It is located in Longshouyuan, north of Chang 'an (now Xi 'an) in Tang Dou.
It was built in the eighth year of Emperor Taizong's Zhenguan (634), formerly known as Yong 'an Palace. It is the largest of the three main halls of Chang 'an in Tang Dynasty (Daming Palace, Taiji Palace and Xingqing Palace), and is called "Dongnei".
