Xiao's role in Jiangnan silk and bamboo

Xiao's role in Jiangnan silk bamboo: Xiao plays an important role in Jiangnan silk bamboo. Pipa, sanxian, erhu, flute and flute are the main types of bamboo and silk in the south of the Yangtze River.

Xiao is not only suitable for solo and ensemble, but also suitable for national instrumental ensembles such as Jiangnan Sizhu, Fujian Nanyin, Cantonese Opera, Changzhou Sixian and Henan Bantou Band, as well as the accompaniment of local operas such as Yue Opera. In the ancient song "Moonlit Night on the Spring River", at first the flute played a light Boeing, and with the drum sound simulated by the pipa, it described the scene of playing the flute and drum on the cruise ship.

In the whole music, the flute is continuous and lyrical. In addition, the ensemble of Qin and Xiao complements each other, euphemistically and implicitly, and can better express the far-reaching artistic conception of the music.

The emergence of shaw:

Its history can be traced back to ancient times. Archaeology in China shows that bone whistlers dating back more than 7,000 years have been found in unearthed cultural relics, which archaeologists call "bone whistle". These bone whistles are made of the midlimb bones of birds. Ancient people took bone marrow from bones to form a hollow bone tube, and then punched holes in the tube wall. They are about 7 cm long and 6-8 mm in diameter.

Slightly arc-shaped, there are two or three holes on the convex arc surface, which can blow out several sounds, thus forming a bone whistle. Although archaeologists call it bone flute, compared with modern flute in shape, structure and sound principle, it basically has the embryonic form of a musical instrument.
