What is the "Cheongwadae curse" in Korean politics, and does it really exist?

The "Cheongwadae curse" in Korean politics actually exists. It doesn't matter whether it exists in theory. Cheongwadae, referring to the office of the President of South Korea, and the Cheongwadae Curse, referring to the stepping down of previous South Korean presidents, were all disgraceful, with light imprisonment and serious suicides.

It is a fate that the South Korean president will not come to a good end. From the first president to the present, no South Korean president can break this spell. This can almost rise to supernatural phenomena. The current President Moon Jae in is doing his best to avoid this curse. He even plans to move the presidential palace. There are so many countries in the world with such a long history that there has never been a country where all presidents have problems.

There are many theories about the emergence of the "Cheongwadae curse". The conspiracy theory says: When I invaded Korea, they destroyed Long Mai in South Korea with a dragon nail. According to Feng Shui theory, the architecture of Cheongwadae and the mountain shape of Cheongwadae have become a "ghost sedan chair" game. Every president in Cheongwadae is carried by ghosts, which will definitely make him fidget.

The above two statements are metaphysical, and most people don't accept them. At present, the most recognized view is that the struggle between the American government and the local forces in South Korea has left the president caught in the middle and has no good end. Since the founding of People's Republic of China (PRC) in 1948, South Korea has been under the control of the United States. Some Koreans want to break away from American control and defend their own interests. South Korea's president, caught in the middle, is difficult to do. If you are pro-American, the local faction will not let go; If you tend to be local, the United States will not let go; If we remain neutral, neither side will let go. In short, it is a dead end.
