He also served as the executive member of the Kuomintang Central Committee in China and the quarterly member of the Hong Kong and Macao branch, and carried out overseas anti-Japanese work in Hong Kong. Participated in and led the battle to defend Hong Kong. 194 1 year, the Japanese occupied Hong Kong, and Chen Ce rushed out of the Japanese artillery fire by torpedo speedboat. After the victory of the Anti-Japanese War, he returned to Guangzhou and served as a member of the Kuomintang Guangzhou Military Mission, the mayor of Guangzhou, the Allied Liaison Officer, and the director of the China Kuomintang Guangzhou Special Committee. Later, due to foot disease and stomach disease, he resigned as mayor and served as an adviser to the National Government. From 65438 to 0949, he served as deputy director of the Guangzhou appeasement office of the Kuomintang.
