The old monk and the young monk were traveling and met a river on the way. He saw a woman who was about to cross the river, but she didn't dare to cross. The old monk took the initiative to carry the woman across the river, then put the woman down and continued on the road with the young monk. The little monk couldn't help muttering all the way: What's wrong with Master? How dare you carry a woman across the river? Walking and thinking all the way, I finally couldn't bear it anymore and said: Master, have you violated the precepts? Why did you carry a woman on your back? The old monk sighed: I have given up long ago, but you still can't let go!

Appreciation
What does this mean? It means that after you gain skill, things will change in your mind. It is a good thing to carry someone across the river. The young monk believes that men and women are not related to each other and should not be carried. The old monk is done with it and it is gone in his mind. The young monk is still thinking in his mind: "This is so inappropriate." Emotions become suppressed, which used to be called "covering". Something covers them up. If this mood or thought keeps suppressing you, it will become bad. Emotions refer to this.
Taoism talks about "inaction". Wuwei does not mean not thinking about anything, but not predicting or recalling in advance, but in the end you can think about everything and everything. How to understand? When something happens, you have to reflect it. It is to make you less stubborn.
The old monk mentioned above carried a woman across the river. After walking across, the young monk asked how could the senior brother carry a woman on his back? Senior Brother said, why are you still carrying a woman on your back? It means it's in your head. Originally, it was difficult for a woman to cross a river, so it was natural for her to carry it on her back. When I put the woman down, my mind became empty. When I was carrying it, I didn’t think, this is a woman and I am carrying her. She needed to go there, but it was difficult, so I carried her there, which was natural.
You don’t need to carry a woman when she comes. Just ask me to carry you there, okay? She needs it, you help her solve this need, once the two are combined, it's over.
Where there is a need, you meet the need and become a Hunyuan whole. Whatever you do, there is a Hunyuan whole. For example, if you want to take something, when you take it, the two Hunyuan will become a whole. When you don't need it, it has its own independence. It is also a Hunyuan whole, and you are also a Hunyuan whole. Wouldn’t maintaining the Hunyuan whole everywhere solve the problem?
Be like that old monk, be open-minded, able to pick up and put down. Everything is in the past. It is annoying to keep it in my heart and talk about it all the time! People like the young monk who are still practicing at a low level should continue to practice! Of course, the young monk is very honest and has good basic qualities as a person.
