74 kilometers northeast of Shaolin Temple is Zhengzhou, the provincial capital, just north of yanshi city. From Yanshi to northwest, it can reach Luoyang, the ancient capital of the Nine Dynasties. Shaolin Temple faces south, facing Yin Shan, Shao Shi, and backed by Wuqinxi Peak. Shaolin Temple, like a bright pearl of Songshan Mountain, is embedded in the middle of the pass connecting Taishi Mountain and Shao Shi Mountain. It is amazing to see the victory of the two rooms, the verve and the secluded mountains.
The environment around Shaolin Temple is really poor. Opposite is the northern foot of Shaoshi Mountain, which is the shadow of Shaoshi Mountain. It is like a natural giant screen, standing in front of the ancient temple, full of mystery. In the giant screen, strange rocks are rugged and varied.
Among them, there are five most representative peaks, namely Qifeng, Gu Feng, Jianfeng, Yinfeng and Zhongfeng from east to west, all named after their peaks. Among them, the Drum Peak, also known as the Bowl Peak, has a huge stone at the top, which is said to be the arm support platform of the second ancestor Hui Ke, also known as the God-refining platform.
