What is the big yard of Fantasy Westward Journey 2?

The compound is bigger than the small courtyard, many times bigger, which is about equivalent to 4 or 5 small courtyards, maybe more. There are no other differences in appearance. There is a map in the big yard (the one with a pull ring), but not in the small yard.
