Xuefeng (also known as Xuefeng) is named after years of snow on the top of the mountain. Xuefeng Mountain is located in the central and western parts of Hunan, which is an important mountain range in Hunan. Xuefeng Mountain is located between Yuanjiang and Zishui in the west of Hunan, China, which is the watershed between Zijiang and Shui Yuan. It starts from the border between Hunan Province and Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region in the south and is connected with the 80-mile South Mountain. Stop at North Dongting Lake. To the west are the mountains of Xiangxi. To the east are hills in central Hunan. Northeast-southwest trend. Folding fault block mountain. The mountains in the south are steep, and the north is gradually reduced to hills after being cut by endowment water. It is 350 kilometers long. Subaoding, the main peak, is at an altitude of1934m, located between Qianyang and Dongkou. The elevation of baimashan, the second peak, is 178 1 m. Vegetation is dominated by subtropical evergreen broad-leaved forest and various Chinese fir, with obvious vertical differentiation.

Xuefeng Mountain belongs to the southwest section of the "primitive Jiangnan ancient land" and has an arc structure protruding from the northwest. A set of strata composed of shallow metamorphic slate, metamorphic sandstone and phyllite are widely distributed in the Lengjiaxi Group and Banxi Group of the Pre-Sinian system, and the metamorphic clastic rocks of the Sinian system are also well developed, which are exposed among the strata composed of slate, limestone and fine sandstone of the Early Paleozoic Cambrian-Silurian system. Due to the uplift of Caledonian movement, a series of north-northeast uplifts and depressions were formed. Under the strong influence of Yanshan movement, a series of NE-trending faults and folds were produced, which further laid the structural and geomorphological pattern of Xuefeng Mountain.

Ten thousand mu of Chinese fir forest. Rows of Chinese fir compete with each other and go straight into the sky, overlooking a lush green ocean. Birds are singing in the forest, which makes tourists linger.

Scenic spot 2

Light the candle. Located on the east side of the main peak, it is more than a foot high and was originally a pair. It is said that no ruler of any dynasty was decided by Sitian's monitoring, and the only thrill was born in Huguang. In order to destroy the feng shui of the emperor here, I ordered someone to destroy one of them, and now there is only one candle left. There are seven depressions behind the mountain, which are said to be places for oil storage.

Xuefeng Temple. Located in the southeast concave of the main peak, it was built in the reign of Emperor Xiantong of Tang Dynasty (86 1 year later) and was destroyed by Cao Bing. There are still many inscriptions.

Try the sword. In the middle and lower part of the main peak of Xuefeng Mountain, it looks like an uncanny workmanship, which is peculiar and spectacular and rare in the world. Ji Xiang was used by Lu Xun to test his sword during the Three Kingdoms period, and there was a frog hole where Lu Xun beat frogs. On the right side of the sword test, there is a simple and luxurious sword Shi Cun, which combines the beauty of stone and architecture.
