Do Buddhists have any taboos? Is there any etiquette for communicating with them?

He who can meet others’ requirements is a disciple. What you can't do is even if you have the refuge certificate, you are not considered a true disciple. As for girlfriends, it seems you can’t find too many. Do not engage in sexual immorality. When communicating, don't curse others. Anyway, it's almost the same as ordinary people. To learn Buddhism is to learn to be a human being. When you meet a monk, you can call him a master. When you meet a monk who is very spiritual, I think you should call him a guru. When you meet a lay person, you can call him a lay practitioner or a fellow practitioner. For example, when asking questions here, they usually address themselves as fellow practitioners. Being a vegetarian is not a must. If you are a monk, it is a must. To eat meat, you need to eat three kinds of pure meat. It means that the meat was not killed by you, you did not see others killing it, and it was not killed specifically for you. In other words, some frozen foods are OK.

I have said so much, but in fact there are some things that I cannot do well at all, and I feel ashamed.

Namo Amitabha.
