1938, General Li Zongren commanded China's army to fight against Japanese invaders in Taierzhuang, and achieved a great victory in Taierzhuang that shocked China and foreign countries. On April 8th after the victory, Li Zongren took a picture under the stop sign of Taierzhuang Railway Station, which became an eternal commemoration of Taierzhuang's victory and went down in history.
Li Zongren Historical Materials Museum was built on the former site of Taierzhuang old railway station, surrounded by water on three sides, with beautiful scenery and unique architectural style. This is a major local tourist attraction. Li Zongren Historical Materials Museum consists of four exhibition halls and a film and television hall, which comprehensively introduces Mr. Li Zongren's life, especially his patriotic feats before and after War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression and his return to the motherland.
Former residence of figures
Li Zongren's former residence is located in Langtou Village, Liangjiang Town, Lingui County, about 30 kilometers away from downtown Guilin. Built in the late Qing Dynasty and the early Republic of China, it covers an area of 5.060 square meters. It is a two-story building with wood structure, which consists of a comfortable place, a general dike, a Guan Xue, a living room in Sanjin and a gun tower. There are 7 courtyards, 13 patio, and * * halls and halls of 165438. The former residence is where Li Zongren's mother, Mrs Liu, and other family members live. Li Zongren held a wedding here, and received a large number of Kuomintang officials and Guangxi generals such as Chiang Kai-shek. The former residence was expanded in three times.
