Ji Cheng Town is located in the west of Jianli County, Jingzhou City, Hubei Province, with the Yangtze River Jingjiang levee in the south and Jiangling and Shishou counties and cities in the west as the west gate of Jianli. Sand (city) flood (lake) highway runs through the whole territory; Cheng (Ji) Yao (Ji) Highway goes directly to the ancient town, radiating to all villages, and the traffic conditions are convenient. The river network in the territory is dense and criss-crossed, and the natural ecological environment is good. The town covers an area of 124 square kilometer, and governs Ji Cheng, Yao Ji, He Qian, Tian Yue, He Ling, Sangong, Ditou, Zhangma, Nanqiao, Henan, Xinhuan, Zhangxiang, Hebei, Sangang, Brick Bridge, Yonghe, Zhang Tao, Wang Gong, Ji Cheng, Xingou and Sanxiao.
Ji Cheng Town is a famous cultural ancient town, and its history can be traced back to the Song Qianlong period. There are many private schools in the ancient town of Ji Cheng, and every household can still read. Cheng Jizhong School, with a history of more than 40 years, has been ahead of similar middle schools in the county for 15 years. A group of people such as General Xiong Ziren, the former commander of the troops stationed in Hong Kong, were born here, which is known as a pearl on the land of Jingchu.
