Arowana was raised as a Feng Shui fish in the past. It has long been a symbol of good luck and wealth. As the price of arowana gradually becomes more popular, more and more people keep arowana. The more, but raising arowana well is not as simple as just adding some water. You must have a basic understanding of raising arowana before raising it. You cannot just give the arowana to you on a whim without knowing anything. Bought it back.
1. The size of the fish tank
How big the arowana can grow determines how big the arowana player needs to prepare. Generally speaking, the length of the arowana tank must be at least the length of the arowana body. Twice the length, the width is definitely longer than the Arowana. Arowana can generally grow to more than 50 centimeters, so the size of the tank for raising arowana should be at least 120cm x 50cm. However, in order to raise the fish better, a tank of 150cm x 50cm or even larger is generally chosen. Also, because arowana likes to jump, the fish tank must have a lid.
2. Filtration of the fish tank
Arowana is a large fish. Relatively speaking, it eats a lot and poops a lot. If you want the arowana to be in good condition, the water quality must be Don’t be vague, of course the more powerful the fish tank filtration system, the better. The worse one is upper filtration, followed by side filtration, trickle box, etc. Of course, the best one is lower filtration. Of course, this is not absolute. If the filtration system is poor, you have to change the water more frequently. If the filtration system is good, you can change the water less often and generally maintain good water quality.
3. Selection of fish food
Arowana is an omnivorous fish, but it mainly eats meat. It is not interested in meat food such as small fish, small goldfish, loach, shrimp, Snails, mealworms, crickets, cockroaches, shrimps, fish, pork and beef are all of interest. Some arowanas also eat well artificial feed. There are two main aspects to pay attention to. First, shrimp spines must be cut off, especially large shrimps; second, it is best not to feed live food directly, mainly because you are afraid that live food may carry parasites, and you are also afraid that loaches and the like may have too strong vitality. Pierce the intestines in the dragon's belly.
4. Feeding of Arowana
The frequency of feeding Arowana directly affects the lifespan, body shape and appearance of Arowana. The most reasonable feeding is based on the size of Arowana. Feed regularly. Arowanas within 30cm should be fed 1-2 times a day, 70-80% full each time. Arowanas above 30cm are generally fed once a day, 7-8% full each time. When the dragon is stable and has basically stopped growing, it can be given at intervals. Feed once a day, 7-8 minutes of fullness is enough each time.
This not only ensures the size of the fish, but also prevents it from developing "old fish" due to lack of food.
In general, raising arowana is a long-term process. It requires a mentality and patience. No matter whether the fish is good or bad, don’t just give up on any fish. Raise it well. If you raise it carefully, you will definitely be able to raise a good dragon.
