Feelings of Ma Xianshan

? The original name of Mabit Mountain was Kongtou Mountain. Later generations changed its name to Mahan Mountain, also known as Mabit Mountain, based on the legend that "there were several groups of wild horses on the mountain. The natives surrounded them and the horses turned into stone." Majian Mountain is a remnant of the Qilian Mountains. The main peak is 3,670 meters above sea level. The top of the mountain is like a flat river, about 8 to 10 kilometers wide and 40 to 50 kilometers long. The towering terrain and severe cold climate conditions make its landforms and scenery completely different from those of its surroundings. Majian Mountain lies between Yuzhong and Lintao counties in Gansu Province, and its watershed is the boundary mountain between the two counties.

Today, I climbed up the mountain and looked out into the distance. I could see all the distant mountains and waters within a hundred miles. The winding Tao River shines brightly in the sun. In the distance, the peaks, steep ridges, and winding barren mountains and hills that usually seem to be tall and straight are now as small as mud balls. It really feels like "seeing all the small mountains at a glance".

I looked to the west, and a ruined ruin loomed among the hills - that was my hometown, the place where I was born, although the village had been moved away in the early years and turned into ruins. After staring at my hometown for a long time, my mind went blank. In the moment of despair, a gust of cold wind hit me with homesickness, and I was filled with emotion!

? My hometown is more than 20 kilometers away from Majian Mountain. Looking east to Majian Mountain, the main peak rises high, and the top of the mountain is often covered with snow. The hazy gray mountain looks like a horse's back, extending gently to the south, and is magnificent and majestic. The horse's title on the mountain is like a war horse that has triumphed over thousands of miles, neighing with its head held high and lying on the ground.

In my childhood, when the sun rose from Majian Mountain, I would often pick up a piece of steamed bun, climb up to the temple ridge alone, sit on the stone steps under the screen wall, look at the rising sun, and sing about generations. A nursery rhyme passed down from legend: The sun is red and setting, I will make you a fried steamed bun... yes! How happy it would be to be able to eat fried steamed buns at that time!

As a young man, Ma Xian Mountain is as far as the eye can see, the horizon, the horizon. Beyond the mountain is the outside world. The outside world is full of mystery and temptation, which is both fascinating and confusing.

When I was 18 years old, it was also this season and this weather. It rained in Sichuan and snowed in the mountains. I climbed over Ma Xian Mountain to explore the outside world with curiosity, apprehension and confusion.

? It has been more than 40 years of ups and downs!
