What is the difference between water-quenched slag and converter slag in fuming furnace?

The differences between the two are as follows:

Water quenching slag and fuming furnace converter slag are two different types of waste residues in metallurgical industry. Water-quenched slag of fuming furnace is glass slag which is solidified after the mixture of air and pulverized coal is blown into liquid slag in fuming furnace to volatilize some valuable metals in the slag in the form of metal, oxide or sulfide.

Converter slag is the slag produced in the steelmaking process of converter or electric furnace, including oxidation slag, reduction slag and smelting slag.
