Lianjiang City is a county-level city managed by Zhanjiang City, Guangdong Province, located in the southwest of Guangdong Province, north of Leizhou Peninsula, bordering Guangxi and Beibu Gulf, with a total area of 2,835 square kilometers.
Most of Lianjiang's population immigrated from abroad after the Tang Dynasty.
