The Origin of the Name of Taiyang Township

There are two peaks here, which are shaped like a phoenix (named "Shuangfengjian"); There is a round field opposite, which is shaped like the sun. Locals combine the two into one, which is called "Twin Peaks and Chaoyang". It is said that this place is still a treasure trove of geomantic omen. However, although the name "Shuangfeng Chaoyang" sounds good, if it is used as a place name, it not only has many words, but also feels like an elephant. Moreover, the double phoenix faces the sun, so it is better to take the name of the sun. Therefore, people later took the word "Sun" as the place name here. 1959 established Sun Commune, and 1983 was changed to Sun Township. The output of organic tea, mushrooms and ganoderma lucidum in this township is high, and the tea in Jinzhuping is very famous. King Hengshan's mausoleum is located here.
