You can eat it, but you should burn incense or flowers to redeem it when you remove the offering, because once the offering is made, it already belongs to the Buddha. If you want to use it, you should redeem it, otherwise it will be stolen. This matter has been mentioned in the Upasaka Sutra!
According to the teachings of the "Upasaka Sutra", whether you set up an incense table in a temple or at home, you should offer incense, flowers, fruits, food and other things to the Buddha. After the offering is completed, you must put a pillar of fragrance on it. Recite the verse to redeem the fruit once, and then you can take away the fruits, food, etc.
If the flowers are fragrant and offered to the Buddha, after the flowers wither, a pillar of fragrance must be put on to redeem the flowers before they can be removed.
After offering incense and candles to the Buddha for many days, when it is necessary to clean up the incense ashes, incense sticks, candle branches, etc., a new stick of incense must be put on it to redeem it before the Buddha can be removed and cleaned. The incense cannot be removed until it is redeemed.
If after offering to the Buddha, you do not offer incense and recite verses to redeem it, but then take it away privately, use it for yourself, or throw it away, it is considered stealing. The behavior of Buddha objects,
Buddha is the supreme blessing field in the three realms. Giving one piece of incense and one flower to Buddha will get immeasurable blessings. On the contrary, stealing one thing from Buddha will result in immeasurable sins, and the consequences will be unimaginable.
If a disciple of the Buddha respects and makes offerings to the Buddha statue, the Buddha will appear in person to accept the offerings, and we will receive blessings from this. However, due to karma and other causes and conditions, in most cases we will not be able to see the Buddha's incarnation.
However, looking at the vast number of good men and women today, it seems that not many can practice this way of serving the Buddha. Many people take off the offerings and leave after making offerings to the Buddha. Unknowingly, I have unknowingly committed the crime of stealing the Buddha's belongings. Offering to the Buddha has merits and virtues, but unexpectedly, after each meritorious deeds, another heavy karma is created, which is really sad!
If you follow the principles of Mahayana Statue Merit Sutra gt; Dharma, those who owe something to the Buddha should confess to the Buddha, and then calculate the debt and repay it several times. If fellow practitioners have committed the above mistakes, there is no need to pay too much. If you are too worried, you can sincerely repent to the Buddha, swear to die in the future, never commit the evil act of stealing the three treasures again, measure the value of the offerings stolen in the past, and pay back to the Buddha several times the value. The crime deserves to be extinguished.
There are many people who have committed this crime. If you see any brother who has posted this, please spread the word, save the disciples, and also cultivate great merit for yourself!

Note: After recently studying the fifth volume of the Upasaka Sutra, I realized that what I said is true:
If you make your own clothes and bowls. Offer it to the Buddha first and let your parents, teachers and superiors take advantage of it. Then surrender. If you go to the Buddha, you can redeem it with the fragrance of flowers. Everything you eat must be given to the ascetic Brahma first. Then feed yourself.
