Brief introduction of sanqiao town

Sanqiao Town belongs to Huaining County, Anqing City, Anhui Province. It is located at116 40' ~116 45' east longitude and 30 34' ~ 30 39' north latitude. There are 294 villagers' groups in the town, with a total population of 29,000 at the end of 2002. Located in the hinterland of Huaining County, it is adjacent to Huangdun Town in the east, Qinghe Township and Huanglong Town in the south, small town in the west and Gong Ling Town in the north. The town government is stationed in the Third Bridge Neighborhood Committee, 27 kilometers north of Huaining County and 39 kilometers east of Anqing City. 1 Sanqiao Town, located in the hinterland of Huaining, has a long history and is known as "the important town of Huaining and the third bridge of water port". In the 28th year of Qing Qianlong (1763), the inspection department of Sanqiao Town was added. At the beginning of the founding of the People's Republic of China, Sanqiao District was established and divided into six towns: Sanqiao, Longmen, Poplar, Shuanghe, Shetang and Fu Bao. 1956 merged into sanqiao township, 1958 established sanqiao people's commune, 1984 changed the township. 1March, 1992, the district and township merged, and the original Sanqiao Township was changed to Sanqiao Town (official system).
