Puyuan Village, 5 kilometers away from Zhouning County, is a famous historical and cultural village in Fujian Province. At the end of the Southern Song Dynasty, the ancestors of Zheng in Xingyang County moved here to escape the war. In order to prevent others from being poisoned, carp are raised in the water. Puyuan Village has more than 200 ancient houses in Yuan, Ming and Qing Dynasties, and its Zheng ancestral hall was built in the early Southern Song Dynasty, which is one of the most intact ancient ancestral halls in East China. The ancestral hall is narrow in front and wide in back, especially like an ancient ship. There are 107 bibcock tablets and more than 60 plaques and couplets in the temple, which are rare in China and well preserved. The carp creek in the village has a history of more than 800 years. This stream is 600 meters long, with thousands of carp of various colors, which can eventually reach 30 to 40 kilograms.
Then why here? Wonderful? And then what? It is precisely because of the customs and habits here that our ancestors made rules and family rules, prohibiting fishing and hurting carp. The villagers strictly abide by the clan rules handed down from generation to generation, and still maintain their interest in carp? Don't catch or eat? Traditionally, carp is equivalent to the local patron saint. So carp gather at the sight of figures and play at the sight of sounds, forming? Is the mermaid fun? Unique cultural landscape.
Carps in Li Yuxi are not afraid of people. The sun came out, the sun shone on the stream, and carp swam out of the cracks in the stone. The old ladies in twos and threes also pushed open the wooden door that had been closed all night and sat on the wooden stool in front of the wooden wall to bask in the sun. They chatted with each other, and the carp came and danced and played. Isn't it interesting that the village girl walks along the stone steps on the stream bank to the water's edge to wash vegetables, and the carp will come around, or take away a leaf or bite her finger?
The custom of fish burial is still preserved here, that is, to pay homage to the dead carp. Even before burying the dead carp, the local custom is to recite 229 words of fish eulogy and bury it in the fish grave after singing. Not only that, but also the oldest Yu Leixi in the Guinness Book of World Records? .
Now, through development, some modern buildings have been built in Li Yuxi, but the quaint atmosphere in the village has not diminished. Walk slowly along the village path and buy a cake for about five yuan at the door, and you can see ordinary carp scrambling to eat. It's really affordable. If you are interested, you must come and see it.
