Shuanglong Town is also known as Zhucheng Village and Dachengtan. Muddy water in the east, residential buildings facing south and Xiaozhai Mountain in the south. The ancient moat surrounds the village with a total area of about 800 mu. With regard to the place name of Shuanglong Town, the author's preliminary conclusion after years of textual research is that it was called Zhucheng Village in Sui and Tang Dynasties, which means the village in the city built by Zhu. Also known as the Great City in the Ming Dynasty, a big city (actually not big) was built next to the deep pool of Qinshui River. It is called Shuanglong Town, so its terrain looks like the shape of two dragons playing with pearls. Before the Sui and Tang Dynasties, it can be seen that Shuanglong Town has a long history.
Shuanglong Town has a long history. Archaeological excavations and desk research data show that in the Western Zhou Dynasty, there were ancestors living here. By the Han Dynasty, Shuanglong Town had become a bustling market town in Fiona Fang, Fiona Fang for dozens of miles. "There are hundreds of shops on the street, and merchants have donkeys and horses to transport goods" was the portrayal at that time. Based on prosperity, Chen Wenkun and other villagers talked about the establishment of county governance in Shuanglong Town in history. According to the Records of Huangpi County, from Han Dynasty to Sui Dynasty, Huangpi once called Xiling, Mulan, Liang Xing and other counties. Huangpi, ruled by Gu Mulan, has long been recorded in history books. Records of Counties and Counties in Southern Qi Dynasty: Manzuo County in Southern Qi Dynasty governs seven counties, with Mulan County as the first. At that time, the jurisdiction of Mulan County included the north of Huangpi and the southwest of Hongan County, located in Shuanglong Town on the east side of Qinshui River.
Historical geographer Tan Qixiang clearly marked the site of Gumulan County in the middle reaches of Huangpi River in the Atlas of Chinese History, where Shuanglong Town is located. This makes the statement that Gumulan County is located in Huangpi, or Shuanglong Town in Huangpi, more authoritative. From the aspects of geographical location, military location and commercial distribution activities. It is also very possible. First, in ancient times, Qinshui waterway was very developed, not only wide and deep, but also close to the Yangtze River. Second, Shuanglong Town faces the water. There are not only stone towns, but also a wide moat, which is easy to defend but difficult to attack. It is a battleground for military strategists and is suitable for setting up important political institutions; Third, Shuanglong Town is adjacent to Henan and Anhui in the north and Hong 'an and Dawu in this province. It has convenient land and water transportation and is the best commodity distribution center. Through the analysis of many thick rope-patterned tiles left over from Dazhai Mountain, we find that the buildings here were very luxurious at that time, probably because the rulers set up political institutions here, rather than ordinary folk houses. It can also be inferred that the moat of Shuanglong Town existed in the early Tang Dynasty at the latest. Later, in the Song, Yuan and Ming Dynasties, it was broadened and deepened.
Speaking of the history of Shuanglong Town, a few years ago, Cai Zhuo, an old Chen Man of the village, said: In ancient times, Shuanglong Town was known as a treasure trove of geomantic omen. Not only heroes and dignitaries like General Mulan have been here, but also dignitaries have been here in ancient times. The saying of getting old has indeed spread among the people. There is a Kannonji in the northeast of Shuanglong Town. During Sui and Tang Dynasties, Kannonji was very famous. At the end of Sui Dynasty, Wang Wu of Nanyang was defeated by Yu Wencheng, and he lived in seclusion in Zizhu Temple in Dawushan, losing his fortune in the name of Dharma. Zizhu Temple is 70 miles from Kannonji. He should be invited by Zuiyue elders to Kannonji to explain the classics. I once praised here that "the mountains are not high and beautiful, the water is not deep and unclear, the green hills are towering in front, and the cypress cages are resting behind, which is the first scene of Xiling." During the Zhenguan period, Weichi Gong, the founding father, was ordered by Emperor Taizong to supervise Hubei and visited Shuanglong Town for many times to observe farming. When Weichi Gong came to Kannonji, he paid a visit to Zhu, a good friend who saved his life, mourned my monk who was coming from Zizhu Temple, and asked Elder Zuiyue to interpret the scriptures for him. These rare stories in official history are not historical facts, but close to history. The so-called close to history, such as those praises to Shuanglong Town, is true and accurate in all aspects.
When talking about the history of Shuanglong Town, Gu Xin, Hu Shengxi and other old people added: From generation to generation, Shuanglong Town was called in the Han Dynasty. It doesn't matter whether this statement is true or not, but at least it shows that Shuanglong Town is extremely old. During the Sui and Tang Dynasties, Zhu and Zhu Tianlu's father and son were officials in the imperial court and local governments, and they built city villages here, which also confirmed that Zhu Chengzhai's facts were true. There is also a folk saying that during the Northern Song Dynasty, Dingyuan officials who were defeated and exiled were regents of Shuanglong Town. At the beginning of Hongchu, the local government of Ming Dynasty expanded the walled city, built a beacon tower at the top of Dazhai, and set up a patrol inspection department in Shuanglong Town. Many old people know that the patrol inspection department was set up in Shuanglong Town to "stop traitors from faking, keep folk music, have no difficulty in business travel, and be calm ...". Therefore, many old people born in Shuanglong Town in the 1920s and 1930s still call Shuanglong Town a great master. According to legend, Dacheng Inspection Department's office is a double-decker Shi Zhuan room. During the Xianfeng period of the Qing Dynasty, after the old man in charge of this house fell asleep by the fire, the charcoal fire burned the dry wood beside the brazier and the office was burned down. Xianfeng was rebuilt at the end of Tongzhi and the beginning of Tongzhi. During the Tongzhi period of Qing Dynasty, Dacheng Stan made an inspection tour for Fang Jia.
From the Qing Dynasty to the early years of the Republic of China, the Qing government and the Republic of China have been setting up post stations and salt bureaus in Shuanglong Town. It is said that the last plaque of Shuanglong Town Post Station was inscribed by Liu Mingchuan, the prefect of the Qing army, and was later promoted to the governor of Taiwan Province Province. In the fifth year of Tongzhi (1866), when Liu Mingchuan led the Qing army to pursue the Nian army and set up camp in Shuanglong Town, Momo, a servant, asked him to write down the words "Dachengtan Station". In the early years of the Republic of China, Wang Zhanyuan, Governor of Hubei Province, visited Mulan Mountain Temple Fair in August of the lunar calendar to welcome pilgrims, and then visited Shuanglong Town. Wang came to Shuanglong Town mainly for two questions: Is there Mulan in history and is she from Shuanglong Town? Wang's trip to Shuanglong Town will naturally have no conclusion. In 2 1 year, the commander of the 10th Kuomintang Army Xu returned to Cangbu, Xinzhou, and went to Henan, where he made a short stop in Shuanglong Town. In Shuanglong Town, accompanied by Jimou, director of the Salt Bureau, Xu visited Cannongji. And wrote a plaque for Kanongji, "Be merciful and benefit all beings". In this regard, Hu Ceng, the father of the late Huangpi monarch Hu, said: Although Shuanglong Town is small, there are many people who pay attention to him.
General Mulan and Shuanglong Town
On February 2nd this year, seven CCTV programs broadcast a feature film entitled "Jing Chu Xing-Hero Mulan" in the column of "National Defense Time and Space". The film was filmed in Shuanglong Town from June 27th, 2003 to February 3rd, 2003. After the film was broadcast, the social response was great. Thus, an old topic about Mulan's life experience, surname, hometown, date of birth and death has become a hot topic in Shuanglong Town.
The old man in Shuanglong Town, explaining CCTV's "Jingchuxing-Hero Mulan", said: Mulan in history was born in Shuanglong Town with her real name Zhu. Mulan's grandfather's name is Zhu and her father's name is Zhu Tianlu. 1998, when the author went to Shuanglong town to collect the wind, the villager Chen Caizhuo said this in more detail. He said: Zhu is a civil servant. First, he was assisted by Emperor Wendi of Sui Dynasty, and then he guarded Taiyuan with Tang Palace Li Yuan. He is a highly valued minister of Gaozu. After the early years of Zhenguan, I spent my leisure time at home and devoted myself to studying Buddhist scriptures and Taoist scriptures. Mulan's father is called Zhu Tianlu. Tianlu was honest and clean, and was a thousand households in Shuanglong Town during Zhenguan. He is an honest official, and he is very charitable. What Chen and Chen Caizhuo said is consistent with the record of "Mulan general Huang Xun Xiling, surnamed Zhu, father Shoufu, also known as Yi, Tianlu and Mu" in the Ancient Biography of Mulan in the Ming Dynasty. Records of Huangpi County, compiled in the tenth year of Tongzhi in Qing Dynasty (187 1), also recorded that Zhu Yi lived in Mulan Mountain, Huangpi County, Huangzhou Prefecture, Huguang, and her daughter-in-law was her father, so she was awarded the title of General Mulan. This record, it goes without saying that Emperor Wanli served as the right suggestion of Douchayuan and the essay of Zhang Tao, the governor of Liaodong. Cai Zhuo, an old Chen Man, also said that there was an original stone tablet at the bridgehead of the East Gate of Shuanglong Town. The stone tablet is about 1.9 meters high, 1.2 meters wide and 8 inches thick. On the front of the monument is the words "General Mulan of Shuanglong Town". The words on the back record the donation of surnames such as Zhu Chenchen in Shuanglong Town when the Dongchengmen Bridge was built. Cai Zhuo, an old Chen Man, also said: Most of the monuments at the bridge head of Dongchengmen were buried in the soil, which he found when digging stumps in the winter of 1946. At that time, he knew nothing about the significance and function of this monument. After the stone tablet was exposed to the ground, it was smashed about a year ago, and now even a fragment can't be found.
Speaking of Mulan and Shuanglong Town, 1982, Mr. Hu, a famous drummer of Huangpi, told the author that during the period of the Republic of China (about 1939), Zhao Nanshan, a celebrity of Huangpi and the former Jingxiang Navy, told him that General Mulan should be from Huangpi and Shuanglong Town in the north. Zhao Nanshan also said that he had seen the woodcut version of Mulan before he went to Japan to be a foreign student supervisor in the 28th year of Guangxu (1902). The woodcut "Mulan Biography" said: General Mulan, a native of Shuanglong Town, east of Suishui River, was recruited by his father when he was young. 1September, 1999, the author went to Shuanglong Town to collect the wind. Villagers in their fifties said that he was a descendant of Zhu. He said, "Mulan is from Shuanglong Town. She was born in Zhujiataizi house behind my house. Our ancestors were handed down from generation to generation in this way, and we will pass it on from generation to generation. Mulan is the pride of the nation and the pride of Zhu in Shuanglong Town. "
The author said to him, "At present, almost all people surnamed Zhu from Huang Bei immigrated from Ji 'an, Jiangxi and other places in the Ming Dynasty. Are you a local? "
Peng Yunhua, Zhu Weihua's lover, said, "You can't talk about history at will. We have many stories about Mulan here. She was born in Zhujiataizi House in Shuanglong Town. "
When talking about this issue, the old man Chen Wen said: Zhu Chenhu in Shuanglong Town are all aborigines, not immigrants from Jiangxi in the Ming Dynasty. Whether this is a historical fact remains to be verified.
General Mulan and Shuanglong Town, Shuanglong Town and General Mulan, as villager Peng Yunhua said, there are many stories and legends related to Mulan. For example, in "Watching Farmers", it is said that when Mulan was six or seven years old, she often went to the temple to "eavesdrop" on the mourning monks and the elders who were drunk on the moon to explain the great righteousness; It is said that Mulan studied martial arts in these places before joining the army as her father. To tell the truth, these can only be regarded as legends, not as real history. Because there is no evidence or factual evidence. 1In June 2004, at the inaugural meeting of huangpi district Federation of Literary and Art Circles and Huangpi Writers Association, the famous poet Mr. Wei once said: Whether there is Mulan in history or not is a Huangpi person, which is a question worthy of study. What Mr. Wei said is objective and fair. As Huangpi people, we think that if there is a Mulan in history, she is from Shuanglong Town.
Destruction, Protection and Remains of Historical Relics in Shuanglong Town
During the Sui, Tang, Five Dynasties and Song Dynasties, although there were many wars in Qinshui Basin, it did not cause great damage to Shuanglong Town. The historical relics of Shuanglong Town have been greatly destroyed, which began in the Yuan and Ming Dynasties.
At the turn of the Yuan and Ming Dynasties, there were frequent wars, and the places of interest in Shuanglong Town began to suffer extensive and serious damage. In the 16th year of Yuan Dynasty (1356), Xu Shouhui led a Red Scarf Army and Yuan Army to wage a tug-of-war in the middle and lower reaches of Qinshui for several months. When the Yuan Army attacked Shuanglong Town, it bombed castles, dug gates, burned houses, destroyed roads, filled moats and chiseled wooden boats. Bandits who fled to Shuanglong Town robbed Kanongji during the war, stole the Baoyu Guanyin Buddha statue in the town temple and burned the scriptures. After Hongwunian, Shuanglong Town Castle experienced the process of restoration, destruction, restoration and destruction. In the spring of the 15th year of Chongzhen in Ming Dynasty (1642), Zhang Peasant Army invaded Zhoujiazhai, Mulan Mountain and Dachang, and then swam northward along the river, destroying some city walls such as Shuanglong Town, Xichengmen Bridge and West Wharf. At this time, Shuanglong Town was riddled with holes, and "villagers lived in broken cities". In the 11th year of Xianfeng in Qing Dynasty (186 1), Chen Yucheng, king of Taiping Heavenly Kingdom, smashed some Buddha statues in Kannonji on his way to Huanggang. In the early years of the Republic of China, the civil and paramilitary facilities inside and outside Shuanglong Town were basically destroyed. During the period of 1947, the Kuomintang army built a bunker at the top of Dazhai in Shuanglong Town, and demolished a section of the wall nearly 40 meters long in the north wing of Dongcheng Gate Bridge, which was the best preserved at that time. Some remaining architectural relics were basically destroyed in the early 1960s.
The restoration and protection of Shuanglong Town Castle was well preserved in Qing Dynasty, Longjiaqing and Qing Dynasty. There is no restoration and protection after Jiaqing.
According to legend, in the 28th year of Qianlong (1763), Liu Zao, the governor of Hubei Province, went to Xinyang, Henan via Shuanglong Town. When I arrived at Shuanglong, I saw that there were castles and moats, and the scenery was good. I asked the local officials what this place was and why the castle was so shabby. The local official replied: According to legend, the local people are the hometown of Mulan, the general of Tang Zhu. The castle has been dilapidated for many years, and the local government and people have no money to renovate it. Liu Zao "ah", said that if the silver renovation. Unexpectedly, it was not long before Governor Liu was defeated and died in Yunnan, and the matter of allocating silver to renovate the castle in Shuanglong Town naturally vanished. Of course, Governor Liu's wish is commendable.
In the forty-first year of Qianlong (1776), Hunan native Liu Sichun, said to be Huang Bei's son-in-law, donated 320 taels of silver and asked masons to repair some seriously damaged walls.
In the summer of the second year of Jiaqing (1797), heavy rain fell in Huangpi and flash floods broke out. The raging river washed away the walls, houses and docks around the west gate of Shuanglong Town. At that time, Chen Mou, a villager working in Hubei Governor's yamen, found Governor Hui Ling. On the grounds of flood control, the governor allocated 520 taels of silver, and the merchants in Shuanglong Town raised some silver to repair the walls, houses and docks washed away by the flood.
In order to protect the historical and cultural sites of Shuanglong Town, in February, 1988+65438, Wuhan Municipal People's Government erected a monument in Shuanglong Town, which was designated as "Wuhan Cultural Relics Protection Unit".
In 2000, the People's Government of Yaojiaji Town, huangpi district established the "Leading Group for the Restoration of Mulan's Hometown", and plans to take measures such as self-financing, attracting investment and applying for state support funds to comprehensively restore the scenic spots and historical sites in Shuanglong Town.
At present, the only thing that can witness the ancient history of Shuanglong Town is the moat that has been silted up for many years, abandoned and dried up, and partially converted into paddy fields, as well as the thick rope board on Dazhai Mountain, the remnants of clay pipe, Zu, gray pottery and red pottery, and the Cannon-ji site with broken walls and tiles. The only well-preserved ones are the Dongchengmen Bridge and the ancient stone slabs of Dongchengmen Bridge, which were destroyed in Sui and Tang Dynasties and restored in Ming and Qing Dynasties.
As the birthplace of General Mulan, Shuanglong Town should have Mulan relics and related relics. However, due to its long history, there are few other relics except Zhujiataizi House, which is really a great pity.
