Experts believe that Zhangguying Village has been called "the first village in the world" for more than 500 years because of its large building scale, unique architectural style and exquisite architectural art. It is said that during the Hongwu period of the Ming Dynasty, Jiangxi native Zhang traveled to Weidong along the shogunate Shanxi, where he saw a basin surrounded by mountains and beautiful natural environment, and suddenly had the idea of settling here. Zhang is a master of Feng Shui. After careful investigation, he chose this homestead, so he built many buildings and prospered, hence the name Zhangguying Village. Zhangguying Village is a community inhabited by Han people. The whole building complex consists of three groups: Dangmen, Wang Jia and Shangxin House.
