Baishi Tourist Scenic Area is a national AA-level tourist attraction.
It is located on the main stream of Daling River in Beipiao City, Liaoning Province. It is located in the three central areas of Chaoyang, Fuxin and Jinzhou, with convenient transportation and unique geographical environment. Baishi Reservoir is a large-scale water conservancy project that focuses on flood control, irrigation, and water supply, and also takes into account comprehensive utilization such as power generation, breeding, and sightseeing. In September 2000, the main project of Baishi Reservoir was completed. The reservoir dam is 513 meters long, with a total storage capacity of 1.645 billion cubic meters and a controllable drainage area of ??17,649 square kilometers. It is the third largest reservoir in Liaoning Province and the largest reservoir in western Liaoning.
The Baishi Reservoir area is rich in plants and species. The reservoir is named after the unique local Baishi Rock. In recent years, Mesozoic paleontological fossils have been discovered in the reservoir area that shocked both China and the world, making the development of Baishi Reservoir tourism resources more significant of the times. At the end of 2000, the Baishi Tourism Service Center was officially established. Its quiet and luxurious Baishi Resort, majestic monuments, majestic viewing platform and other attractions, together with the Beipiao Biological Fossil Museum and Huining Temple, formed a unique tourist scenery belt, making Baishi Reservoir a tourist attraction. This pearl is even more beautiful on the Daling River. Climbing up to the viewing platform, you can have a panoramic view of the reservoir area: sunrise in the morning, sunset in the west, spring embracing the Linghe River, and silver geese playing in the water. The water park has built water entertainment projects focusing on fishing, bathing, and boating, making it a good place for your leisure vacation. In 2007, the Baishi rafting project, known as "the first rafting in western Liaoning", was completed, adding a beautiful scenery to Baishi tourism.
The Baishi Tourism Service Center has complete, advanced and first-class facilities, and has the ability to receive large-scale meetings of more than 300 people. It has a parking lot, security service, dance hall, and entertainment hall. It is a "feng shui treasure place" for group meetings, family travel, and friend gatherings.
