In order to faithfully reproduce the spirit of the original work, firstly, the original work is covered with transparent and impermeable tape, and dots, lines, color blocks, inscriptions and seals are drawn on the screen truthfully, and then the tape that has been hooked into the manuscript is covered with translucent tissue paper. According to the different color levels and tones of the manuscript, how many color levels there are on the manuscript, each manuscript is drawn as many manuscripts.
As a sketch job, you must have the accomplishment of traditional painting in order to faithfully reproduce the style and charm of the original; We must do enough research on carving and printing to complete the whole production process.
Second, carving wood blocks
The plate used for carving is pear wood, and the surface should be planed and smooth. Paste the sketch on the board separately, and then carve it after drying.
Sculptors use crescent-shaped carving knives to carve patterns on wooden boards and carve them into various woodcuts. Sculptors must be familiar with ancient and modern painting theories and carefully understand the original works, so that they can use the knife as a pen and use it freely.
Third, printing.
Firstly, the selected paper or silk is fixed at one end of the printing box, then the carved wood block is fixed in a position suitable for printing with movable and fixed adhesive, and then the color is brushed on the wood block and transferred to the printing material.
The pigment used in printing is not ink, but watercolor pigment used in Chinese painting. The coloring tool is a brown brush, and the color should be the same as the original painting. For some subtle shade changes in painting, it is impossible to divide a painted line into several sets when the woodcut watermark is divided into sets, but it is completely solved by the printer applying different colors or shades to a set of woodcuts. This process is called "two" in woodcut watermarking terminology.
When printing, first print a set of wooden blocks, and then change a set of wooden boards until all the overprinting of this painting is finished. Print 200 ~ 300 sheets at most, and at least 20 ~ 30 sheets at a time.
Therefore, it is required that the printer should not only be familiar with painting techniques, but also have skilled printing operation techniques, so that it is possible to reproduce the unique style of the manuscript.
Fourth, installation
Mounting is one of the traditional techniques of Chinese painting, which has the functions of protecting and decorating the picture and facilitating hanging.
Mounting is made of rice paper, brocade, silk, etc. Copy the woodcut watermark into national forms such as vertical axis, horizontal curtain and picture album. If compared with the original, it looks like the original, achieving the effect of confusion.
Woodcut watermark is a special printing unique to China, and its plate making and printing are completely carried out by simple tools and hands. It is made of carved wood blocks and pigments (including plant pigments, mineral pigments, metal pigments, etc.). ) used in traditional Chinese painting and hand printing.
Woodcut watermark can perfectly reproduce the unique style of ancient Chinese ink painting, color painting and meticulous painting in China. This is difficult to achieve by other modern printing methods. Woodcut watermark is characterized by copying ancient and modern famous paintings, which is similar to the original, but the production process is long, the number of prints is small and the cost is high. Therefore, it is mainly to copy advanced fine products.
