Legends and anecdotes of Kuixingge

According to legend, the top of Kuixing Pavilion was originally red and later changed to blue. As for the cause of discoloration, it is said that the top of Kuixing Pavilion was originally red. Because the Confucius Temple area is often struck by lightning, many people have died, and there is nothing the common people can do. One day, a "feng shui expert" told the then governor of Liangjiang that the red roof was not good and had offended Lei Gong. If you change to blue top, you won't be struck by lightning again. But once feng shui is broken, Nanjing will never produce any officials with more than three products.

The Governor of Liangjiang said that Nanjing people should not be big officials for the safety of the people. So the red roof was replaced by the blue roof. Strangely, after changing the roof, there was no lightning strike and fire in the surrounding area of Confucius Temple. During the Qianlong, Xianfeng, Taiping Heavenly Kingdom and War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression periods, the Confucius Temple was destroyed by war four times, and the old appearance of the historical period could not be verified.
