Lantau Island is also the largest outlying island in Hong Kong. Most of the island belongs to outlying islands, and only a small part of the northeast belongs to Tsuen Wan. In the past, Lantau Island was far away from the bustling areas of Hong Kong, and the transportation was not very convenient. Many lands were undeveloped and there were few people.
Later, with the completion of the Hong Kong International Airport, Tsing Ma Bridge and subway line, the 2.2-kilometer Tsing Ma Bridge connected Lantau Island with Tsuen Wan and Tsuen Wan Chung in Hong Kong, and the traffic on Lantau Island became more and more convenient.
