Dacheng Town is located at the southernmost end of Pubei County, bordering Zhanghuang Town in the east, Changle Town in Hepu County in the south, Wenli Town in Lingshan County across the river in the west, and the county in the north White Rock water junction. The town has jurisdiction over 15 village committees, one community, and 192 villager groups. At the end of 2002, the total population was 30,394 people, the total area was 184 square kilometers, and the cultivated land area was 26,707 acres.
Dacheng Town is located at the intersection of Lingshan, Pubei and Hepu counties, with convenient transportation. National Highway 209 passes through the town from east to west, and hundreds of cement concrete transit roads lead directly to Dachengwei, the seat of the town government. The third-level highway from Jinlian to Luocheng runs from north to south. In 2000, every village was connected to a fourth-class highway. With the accelerated pace of reform and opening up, Dacheng Town's economic construction has developed rapidly, grassroots facilities and urbanization construction have been continuously improved, and education has been progressing step by step.
