Wenfeng Tower is located on the Guyan River in the southeast of Nantong City, on the Haohe River in the southeast of Nantong City, and on the north side of Wenfeng Park in the city. There is a group of buildings in Ming and Qing Dynasties with unique garden scenery. Historically called "Five Blessingg Temple", now called "Wenfeng Pagoda", it is the location of Nantong Federation of Literary and Art Circles, Nantong Painting and Calligraphy Institute and an art museum. There is Wenfeng Pagoda in the courtyard, which is the crown of the three pagodas in Nantong.
Wenfeng Pagoda was built in the 40th year of Wanli in Ming Dynasty (A.D. 16 18). This tower consists of bronze tiles, white walls and red columns, imitating a pavilion. Brick and wood structure, five floors and six corners, each floor has a small room, one door and two windows on each side, with escalators inside and guardrails outside. The cornices are upturned, decorated with faucets, immortals and beasts, and tied with Jin Duo. There is a gate at the top of the tower, and the tower height is10.33m.. The brake seat is bowl-shaped with an exposed disk on it. The brake lever passes through the seven-phase wheel, and the top is composed of the moon, the garden lamp and the Aquarius. It is connected with the top of the tower with an iron rope, which makes the pagoda look solemn and magnificent. The tower body is made of bricks, and the tower doors on each floor are hidden and staggered up and down. Hexagonal conical roof, tower brake is slender, with seven wheels on the top, long waist eaves and upturned eaves, which is simple and beautiful.
Wenfeng Pagoda, 39 meters high, is located in the southeast of Li Xiong, which is a cultural symbol of Nantong people's Chongwen Industrial Development. According to the inscription on the newly-built Wenfeng Pagoda in Tongzhou, Wenfeng Pagoda was built to "supplement the beauty of mountains and rivers and help the style of writing in Sheng Xing". According to legend, the popularization of Feng Shui theory in Ming Dynasty started in Ma Pingchuan, south of Huaishui. There are only Wolf Five Mountains in Nantong, which is the "Lu Guan Palace" in Nantong. At that time, digging mountains and taking stones, building new cities and gardens, destroyed the "Lu Guan Palace" and made it tried and tested; Officials with ordinary citizenship are mostly despised. So it was suggested that the southeast of the city is low-lying and humid, and Wenfeng Tower and Sanyuan Bridge can be built, which complement each other with the shape of mountains and rivers and contribute to the prosperity of the style of writing. Perhaps it is a historical coincidence that there were no celebrities in the first 500 years of Nantong Millennium. It was not until the middle and late Ming Dynasty in the16th century that nearly 100 scholars were born, including Ling Xiang, Chen, his father and son, his nephews Chen Dazhuang, Gu, Gu's grandsons Fan Fengyi and Bao Zhuangxing, and two top scholars Hu Changling and Zhang Jian. In fact, it is a historical necessity that "there have been talents in past dynasties, each leading the way for hundreds of years" and talents come forth in large numbers. This is just a beautiful conversation.
Wenfeng Pagoda is modeled after a pagoda. Because the pagoda built a temple, it is called "Five Blessingg Temple". According to legend, when the temple was built, five big bats as big as wheels appeared. There is also a legend that five red bats nest on Wenfeng Tower, so this tower is named Five Blessingg Temple, which is another myth. Years have eroded, and Five Blessingg Temple has long been destroyed, while Wenfeng Pagoda has been preserved after several repairs. Gu Song in the Six Dynasties Hospital is the most authoritative witness to all this. Wenfeng Pagoda was overhauled in the 25th year of Jiaqing in Qing Dynasty (1820), and the last meal repair dates back to 1970s, when only a small-scale emergency repair was carried out. In the past 30 years, the main structure of Wenfeng Tower is not bad, but the roof and railings are damaged, and many birds nest in it, which also has a certain impact on the protection of the tower. After two renovations after the founding of the People's Republic of China, it glowed with youthful brilliance. It is the largest existing geomantic architecture in our city, and now it is a municipal-level cultural relics protection unit in Nantong. Climbing high and overlooking the whole city of Nantong, Wenfeng Tower is a quadrangle-style building, where the Municipal Federation of Literary and Art Circles, the Painting and Calligraphy Institute and the Art Museum are all located. In the past ten years, a distinctive quadrangle-style building called Wenfeng Tower has been added around Wenfeng. In September, 2005, Nantong Museum Centennial Celebration and China Museum Centennial Celebration were held in Nantong. Therefore, the municipal government specially allocated 6.5438+0 million yuan to carry out large-scale maintenance of Wenfeng Pagoda, a cultural relic of the Ming Dynasty, to reproduce its majestic appearance. The lighting project of Wenfeng Tower is designed according to the architectural and structural characteristics of the tower, which is divided into three parts: roof lighting, cornice corner lighting and wall lighting. Among them, the top roof is illuminated by white projection lamps installed on the eaves between the two corners, and the roof of the lower floor is illuminated by white projection lamps installed at the bottom of the front railing. The eaves and corners of each floor are illuminated by yellow corner lights installed on the forehead of this floor. The whole lighting project is brought into the centralized lighting control system of Haohe Scenic Area, and Wenfeng Tower will also become the most beautiful scenery in the southeast of Haohe River. Now, overlooking the tower, the Haohe River is sparkling, and the streets are bustling, lifelike and refreshing. Left: Newly renovated Wenfeng Tower.
