Why is Jilin called Jiangcheng?

There are two rivers in China, one is Wuhan, called Dajiangcheng, and the other is in the northeast. Jilin City, Jilin Province, also known as Jiangcheng, is the Songhua River. Jilin is a heavy industrial city in the north, and Songhua River always passes through the city center. Known as the famous city in the north and the fifth largest city in the three northeastern provinces.
