Drama evaluation
Although "Direct Answer" is a small anti-Japanese war, the story structure and character setting are completely different from some anti-war dramas. Based on historical facts, the play reproduces several classic battles in Shandong during the Anti-Japanese War and reveals the mysterious "Golden Army" in Jiaodong. In addition, the plot depicts the characters with emotion, the feud with Su and Xiaofeng, the love-hate relationship with Gao Ping, and the family entanglement between Gao Ping and Su all make up for the lack of emotion in some previous anti-war dramas.
