The difference between crown pear and Sydney
The history of pear cultivation can be traced back to more than 3000 years ago. Pears cultivated in China and other East Asian countries are mostly Asian pears with round fruit shape and crisp taste.
Pears cultivated in Europe and America are mostly western pears with gourd-shaped fruit and soft taste. At present, the cultivation area and yield of pears in China are second only to apples, accounting for about 80% of the world's pear production.
Sydney is a general term, including Sydney, Crown and other pear varieties, so crown pear is a kind of Sydney. Here are some differences between the two.

Guanli, Rosaceae, Pyrus, Pak Lei, is suitable for growing in arid and cold places. The main producing areas in China are Hebei, Henan, Shandong and Shanxi.
Crown pear is a hybrid variety bred by crossing Sydney and New Century Pear with 1977 as male parent. Moreover, Guanli, also called "Golden Pear" and "Fengshui Pear", is one of the fruits that we often touch in our daily life.
Sydney, belonging to Rosaceae, Pyrus and Pyrus, is a light-loving plant. As early as 2000 years ago, Sydney appeared, which is an ancient pear variety. Sydney produced in Sichuan and Anhui is the most famous, and supermarkets in some places are also called Yali pear.
From the variety point of view, Guanli belongs to Pak Lei, likes cold and drought, and is a hybrid variety; Sydney is a kind of Sydney. It likes light and temperature. It appeared earlier and is one of the older pear varieties.
