The decorative style tends to be elegant and the layout is sparse. Decorative patterns are widely expressed, and there are realistic or deformed patterns.
There are mainly branches-bound peony pattern, branches-bound lotus pattern, branches-bound chrysanthemum pattern, branches-bound peony pattern, branches-bound lotus pattern, branches-bound chrysanthemum pattern, pine and bamboo plum pattern, chrysanthemum stone pattern, autumn melon pattern, sea water beast pattern, double lion bowling pattern, Hua Niaowen, lotus pond waterfowl pattern, moonlight pattern and Persian.
The unique patterns are all kinds of bunches of flowers, flowers with vines, three or more folds of tortoise back brocade, cactus-like seawater spray, compound leaf rolling grass, overlapping swastika, long and narrow triangle, jagged edge, banana leaves with prickly tips, and banana leaves with double-hooked sunflower petals outside.
The lotus with tangled branches is sketched with blue and white light, and the color is painted outside the contour line as the background color. The petals have single petals and compound petals. The pattern basically follows the style of the previous dynasty, and the decorative pattern layout is sparse and beautiful. The general level of figure painting is not high, the picture is rather childish and blunt, and some of them are dull and out of proportion. Most of the clothes and ribbons of figure patterns are painted in a fluttering shape, which seems to go against the wind. The matching cloud patterns are shaped like Ganoderma lucidum or Ruyi Yuntou, with thick lines as outlines and thin lines for decoration. This cloud pattern composition is called the characteristics of Tianshun Dynasty.
In this period, brocade decoration was widely used. The specific method is to draw delicate brocade with blue and white, such as diamond, flower-shaped, Qian Wen-shaped and dot-shaped shading, and draw flower-shaped, square ruyi cloud and other decorative patterns on the reserved white ground. Then, flowers, figures, animals and other decorative patterns will be decorated in the opening, and the decorative patterns in the opening will be set off with brocade. This technique was used in Yuan Dynasty, and it was widely used in Tianshun Dynasty.
