The following year, he proclaimed himself Jinyuan and worshipped Wang Dao as Prime Minister. Wang Dao set up a shogunate on the mountain, so it was called the shogunate mountain.
During the Southern Dynasties, the south of the Shogun Mountain was the place where the emperor hunted, drank and entertained. In the summer of 556 A.D., there was a life-and-death battle between Liang and Beiqi on the Shogunate Mountain. As a result, Liang's general defeated the invading Beiqi army and saved Liang. Liang gave up the throne and a new dynasty appeared in Nanjing.

It is said that he came to Shogun Mountain many times. At that time, in order to build the city wall, Zhu Yuanzhang recruited migrant workers from 13 province to burn kilns here.
