Luo, 4 1 year-old, was born in a poor peasant family in Group 3 of Jinxia Village, a county town. Since childhood, he has developed the virtues of diligence and caring for others. After the old man died, he took care of the daily life for the other two old people.
One year coincided with the busy farming season of cutting wheat and transplanting rice. Su Chengfu, a young man from Jinxia Village, accidentally got an electric shock while pumping seedlings and was knocked down on the ridge of the field. Guo Xiang came home from the night shift and found that he immediately organized artificial respiration, which lasted for two hours without any response. Sue's parents were crying, and the helpers left one after another. Guo Xiang learned from the knowledge of hydropower business that it takes up to 6 hours to wake up after artificial respiration. So he begged four people to take turns blowing, and he pinched his chest. From 7 pm until 1 1 20 pm, he realized that the mouth of the electrocuted person was slightly open. Now Su Chengfu's family of three are very happy.
1996 10, a car accident occurred in Wangchang, causing heavy casualties. After hearing this, Guo Xiang wrote to the relevant departments of the county, calling on the people of the county to show their love. He donated 80 yuan himself first, and the workers in the power station took the lead in setting off a wave of "offering love and great assistance", and the county * * * received a donation of more than 80,000 yuan.
From Renxing to Zhang Chang, there is a very uneven dirt road. He thought: there is a car driving, it is good to provide convenience for everyone! After much thinking, he scraped together some money and bought a minibus in April of 1995. Take advantage of rest days and holidays to carry passengers for free or at a discount. On May 6th, 1996, Luo read an article in People's Daily about the action summary of young volunteers in China. The article said that the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China's leading comrades spoke highly of the development of Lei Feng's spirit in the new era and thought it was the call of the times and the need of society. He realized that today's society needs spiritual civilization more, and people need to vigorously publicize and carry forward spiritual civilization, so he insisted on carrying out patriotic propaganda activities on major festivals such as March 5, May 4 and July 1 every year.
1September, 1999, despite repeated persuasion from his wife and doctors, Luo, who suffered from kidney calculi, took half a catty of medicine for treating stones and embarked on a 19 expedition that he loved China and Sichuan all his life, celebrated the 50th anniversary of the founding of People's Republic of China (PRC) and celebrated the return of Macao to the north.
With photos of great changes in six counties in Meishan New District, Luo left Chengdu by bike. In order to get to Beijing on the eve of National Day, he has to ride dozens of kilometers every day. When you are hungry, add cold water to the sesame seed cake to satisfy your hunger; Tired, I fell to the side of the road and took a nap. Because life is simple and the journey is hard, renal colic often occurs. When he was sick, bean's big sweat rolled down his face, and suddenly he fell to the ground with people and cars ... However, all this did not shake his determination to carry out patriotic propaganda. Everywhere he went, he took out graphic exhibitions and vividly explained them. After arriving in Beijing, it was exhibited in the Central Tower, China Millennium Monument, Tsinghua University, Summer Palace and other places, and the audience was deeply moved. In the past four years, Luo sacrificed more than 200 days of vacation, carried out patriotic propaganda for 23 times, walked through 130 provinces (cities) and counties, traveled10.5 million kilometers, and took more than 500 photos, including telling the festivals of the motherland, introducing the deeds of British models, watching the urban changes of the motherland in the past 20 years of reform and opening up, and having parents and children.
Luo, who has worked for more than 20 years, is very humble at home except for a 18 inch color TV. He often spends his wife's money on publicity, or subsidizes poor households and children who are out of school. He seems a little silly to others, but he likes this and that.
Blood and sweat spill on the earth, and lofty sentiments create brilliance. Luo Xiangyu, a contemporary living Lei Feng, wrote touching poems about loving the motherland and hometown with his simple actions.
