This is actually a superstition, which reflects all bad luck.
It is very, very bad for the mirror to face the shop, just like some of our families will put a small mirror on the window to face the outside. They don't want to bring bad luck to themselves, so they should be reflected away, discuss with them and change the angle of the mirror.
