Weibin District, belonging to Baoji City, Shaanxi Province, is located in the west of Guanzhong, at the northern foot of Qinling Mountains, and on both sides of Weihe River. It borders chencang district in the east and west, Taibai County and Fengxian County in the south and Jintai District in the north, with a total area of 842 square kilometers. Weibin is also the shore of Weihe River. Located in the south of Weihe River, formerly known as Shennong District, it is the hometown of Yan Di Shennong, an ancient leader, and the birthplace of the Chinese nation. According to legend, Emperor Yan Shennong was born in Mengyugou, grew up in Wayu Temple, bathed in Jiulongquan and died in Tiantai Mountain. Located on Yangshan Mountain, the head of Weibin District, Yandiling is the main place for the descendants of the Yellow Emperor to seek their roots and worship their ancestors.
