During the Spring and Autumn Period, Yanqing County was once an area where Shanrong was active.
In the late Spring and Autumn Period and the early Warring States Period, it belonged to Yan State. After Qin unified the six countries, it belonged to Shanggu County.
Yanqing
In the first year of Yi Tong (AD 1 14 1), Gushan County was returned to Dexing Prefecture, abandoned in the early Yuan Dynasty, and reverted to Shengfeng Prefecture on Shangdu Road. Later, Yuan Renzong was born in Xiangshui Garden in the county (now in the upper and lower gardens of Shenjiaying Town). After he ascended the throne, he was promoted to Zhanglong Qingzhou in September of the third year of Yanyou (A.D. 13 16) and transferred to Dadu Road to take charge of Huailai County.
In the early Ming Dynasty, the Mongols retreated to Mobei, and Qin Long belonged to Yongping Prefecture. In the third year of Hongwu in Ming Dynasty (A.D. 1370), he abandoned the state and moved to the customs. Qin Long was stationed in Juyongguan. In the 12th year of Hongwu (A.D. 1379), he added Yongning Wei, which belonged to the post-army viceroy. In the 12th year of Yongle (A.D. 14 14), in March, Judy of Ming Taizu made a tour to the north, stationed in Tuanshan (now the old county town of Tuanshan), Guichuan was flat and the land was fertile, and Qin Long House was set up to govern Yongning and Huailai counties, and immigrants were resettled in Fu Xuan, Shi Jing. In the first year of Qin Long (AD 1567), to avoid the title, it was changed to Yanqing House and Yanqing Wei. In the 16th year of Shunzhi in Qing Dynasty (AD 1659), Yongning County was evacuated to Yongningwei; In the thirty-second year of Kangxi (AD 1693), Yongning Wei was evacuated to Yanqing Prefecture.
