Bortala Mongolian Autonomous Prefecture in Bozhou, Xinjiang
Bortala Mongolian Autonomous Prefecture, referred to as Bozhou for short, is located at the western end of Junggar Basin in the northwest of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region in China. It borders Tacheng area in the east, Ili Kazakh Autonomous Prefecture in the south and Kazakhstan in the north, with a border of 380 kilometers, and is known as the "first gateway to western China". Quanzhou has a total area of 24,896 square kilometers, covering Bole City, Jinghe County, Wenquan County, Alashankou Port Administrative Region and Sailimu Lake Scenic Area. The Fifth Agricultural Division of Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps and its 1 1 regiment are distributed all over the country. The total population is 480,000 (including the Fifth Agricultural Division of the Corps). There are 35 ethnic groups, including Mongolian, Han, Uygur, Kazak and Hui, with a population of over 10,000. Bole City is the capital of the autonomous prefecture and the headquarters of the Fifth Agricultural Division.
