It was burned down in the first year of Tianqi, and was rebuilt by Governor Zhu Xieyuan and renamed "Laifeng Pavilion". It was rebuilt many times in the Qing Dynasty. In the 28th year of the reign of Emperor Kangxi of the Qing Dynasty, Governor Tian Wen rebuilt it and restored its original name to Jiaxiu Tower.
